Heh ... I gave up on F1 3 years ago ... I used to be a big fan ... until Ferrari started dominating, and I just started losing interest. Every race became Michael in pole. I got really interested this season, because:
- Toyota, which I highly respect, made a statement that they were going to be dead serious in the 2005 season.
- The new rule changes, which would greatly affect Ferrari.
I don't want to start this argument up again, but many people around the world do agree that Ferrari's complete domination in the past few years was because the rules were skewed towards them.
I am very excited about the new season, as the rules have caused havoc to many teams, and this is a good thing, because teams like Ferrari must rethink their strategy and car design, and engineers must come up with new ways to attain speed on the cars.
With that said, I am thrilled Trulli managed 2nd with the Toyota car. With only 2 races so far this season, Toyota has already scored more points this year than their ENTIRE 2004 season. Renault seems to be very strong this year. Ferrari probably has a trick up it's sleeve with the 2005 car, but we will see. It was sad that both BAR Hondas were out of commission, but no surprise, as this is not the first time the Honda engines have had leakage/overheating problems.
All in all, shaping up to be a very interesting season. Can't wait for all the other races. |

| Awesome race....great passing & lil "scraps" like the passing between the Williams cars & Ralph....what a fight THAT was:D...You get to see how fit these guys are when they are racing for 2 half hours in that heat:eyes:  ...Alonso looked like he could barely stand...I hope that the rest of the season will be this good...Jacques Villeneuve should pack it in cause his excuses are getting tiresome...Anyway next stop>>>BAHRAIN<<< |

Beautiful track & lay out;)...I'd really like to know why Ferrari has a contract with Bridgestone:conf: ...these tires don't get enough "track time" because they are with Ferrari only (I think) & therefore not enough testing.Even with their new car, I don't think they will improve because of tires....not that I really care 'cause I HATE Ferrari:whip: (too many Geenos:stongue: ) |

Well, if you look at bridgestone' record, they are a better manufature, 7 title with Shumi alone. regarding, testing their tyres, your right, not enough testing but Ferrari does enough testing on its own on their own track in Italy.
In my opionion, Ferrari has been dominant because of their tyres, yes their cars are more durable than anyone elses, but they made a mistake by not taking their competition seriously this year. Renault are quick, Bar is getting faster but their engines are their biggest problem right now...SATO will kick ASS evtually! |
