I totally agree, the mixing is absolutely gash. Despite what you trance kiddies think, there is NO EXCUSE for this on a CD that is planned out ahead of time and presented as a retail product. It is simply unprofessional and insulting to you, the consumer. I knew Tiesto had little to no respect for his profession anymore when he was trainwrecking during the Olympics. Given that opportunity, I would practice night and day to make sure everyting worked so that I could leave a professional impression on my audience. What does Tiesto do? He slaps together some formulaic trance and pushes it off to you drones...

Back to the CD though, I thought CD1 flowed alright, but CD2 absolutely desicrated the ISOS vibe. ISOS is not a hands in the air trance album. Producers like Phynn, Estuera, Reloacate, and even Matthew Dekay have no business being on the album unless they can produce a groovy, proggy, relaxing tune that isn't hands in the air peak time trance. The tracks work a little better than I thought they would, but all in all Tiesto failed to impress me yet again, I give this a 4/10

I was about to post the same thing. That's the point of mixing these on a computer--so you don't hear wrecks and mistakes on the CD, hence why I will not throw my 20 dollars away on this comp when it comes out.

computerized mixes take away the human aspect of a set IMO.. they make a cd boring and static (like Armin's ASOT compilations).. it feels like you're listening to something instead of someone. i like how ISOS 4 is not flawlessly mixed, it really keeps the cd alive..

01 Solarstone and JES - Like A Waterfall
02 ToneDepth & SoulTan - Moments
03 JASEfos feat Clare Van Der Boom - Do What U Want (Max Graham Afterhours In Montreal Mix)
04 Wighnomy Bros - Wurz + Blosse
05 Coca & Villa - La Noche
06 Mads Arp featuring Julie Harrington - Slow It Down (Mathilda Mix)
07 Gabriel & Dresden - Arcadia
08 Tiësto feat Matt Hales from Aqualung - UR (Junkie XL Air Guitar Remix)
09 BT - The Force Of Gravity (Tiësto Remix)
10 Allure - The Loves We Lost
11 Blank & Jones feat. Bobo - Perfect Silence (E-craig's 212 Mix)
12 Grayarea feat Erik Shepard - Gravity
13 Matthew Dekay vs Proluctors - Bad (Not Pitched Up)
14 Estuera vs Re:locate - Palma Solane

I think i would have liked this more, i don't know about the order of the tracks (especially not where to put Bad) because i don't know anything about mixing, but this leaves out alot of tracks that i think don't belong here or aren't good enough.

I listened to this one twice already. I have come to the conclusion I dont like it. I have all of the ISOS and they are great except for this one. I am let down, I thought Tiesto was the #1 DJ

Are you serious? Involver anyone? The saddest part about this is that ISOS4 was done with ProTools, but Tiestor managed to it up anyway!

I'm listening to this album and find myself pressing down with my index finger on the pitch bend of my CDJs purely out of habit, thats how bad it is!

This CD leads me to the conclusion that trance sucks today. I will always love the trance sounds of pre-2003 but I'm sorry, I just don't see how anyone could get into this. And nevermind the mixing and the politics, most of this album is just repetitive and formulaic.

If it had come from John Doe in a bedroom contest it would've never made it out of the qualifying round let alone the audacity to package and sell it at retail. A well publicized DJ even more so will rightfully be reviewed and scrutinized by the fans that voted them to the top and this is no different. An overall underwhelming effort that rides the success of its past glory and falling terribly short of the mark. Turn off your stereo folks, we've been punk'd.

Listened to the CD, I like the first CD's tracks, mixing on both CD's leave a lot to be desired...
