Finally got to listen to both CD's in the car today. I was quite impressed. CD starts of amazing and continues for the 1st half I'd say. Then there's a slight drop off, then it picks up again at the end. CD2 was good too, but didn't leave as big an inpact on me as CD1. As far as the mixing goes, without rehashing old arguements, let me say I thought it was damn good and "raw". Listening, you get the impression it's mixed by hand instead of on a computer, for better or worse.

I found the compliation really...good. To be honest, the transitions were as bad everyone said, and I wasn't "cringing" between songs either. I can agree that they should have put some more effort into making them more flawless, but there definately weren't any WRECKS on this. I don't know what people expect, it's a solid compilation.

So i finally listened to the whole thing. And not to take some mixing flaws(06. Coca & Villa - La Noche -> 07. Tilt - Twelve (Dousk Mix) prob the worst) It wasn't to bad.

I think if tiesto put the better tracks on 1 cd It would have been much better. His programming though has gone to all hell. I mean why does he get super techy at some points. I dont get it. & like a Waterfall is quite possibly the worst intro ever.

I dont have the cd infront of me atm to make the best tl. But

01. Way Out West - Killa
02. ToneDepth & SoulTan - Moments
03. Coca & Villa - La Noche
04. JASEfos feat. Clare Van Der Boom - Do What U Want (Max Graham Afterhours In Montreal Mix)
05. Luminary - My World (Andy Moor Mix)
06. Tilt - Twelve (Dousk Mix)
07. Steve May - Blend Forty 3 (Luke Chable & Steve May Mix)
08. Gabriel & Dresden - Arcadia
09. Michael Burns - Forwards
10. Estuera vs Re:locate - Palma Solane
11. Salt Lake - Sunset Highway
12. Sensorica vs. J Key - Only One
13. Sasha - Xpander (Lolo - Why remix):stongue: ?

Something like that would probably have been much better.

LOL at lolo...but yeah track 6 to 7 was pretty bad.

But overall it wasn't as bad as everyone said it was.

From the so-called #1 DJ in the world, mixing a summer-chill-good-vibrations-cd I expect: Long, smooth and flawless transitions that are in key and not really noticable.

I wanna have the feeling, that the mix is one long track. I don't want that the feeling of the mix is destroyed by transitions that wake me up out of my dreams because they are so terrible.

Tiesto is the #1 DJ (haha), In search of sunrise is a legendary compilation-series -> I expect from Tiesto that he practices the mixes and put the best tracks together untill the mix is nearly perfect, and sorry the 2 CDs are far away from being that.

Listen to Hernan Cattaneo (ok ok not the same style but who cares), it would be so great if he mixed the tracks he choosed in a way Cattaneo does where you mostly don't know where one tracks starts and the other ends...

Tiesto wants to have money from me? Than he has to mix like a real top-DJ! There are free amateur mixes and radio-show-mixes every week that are mixed better...

why should djs have to be forced to mix in key? Its really uncreative and boring. It does sound good at times, but if everything is in key its all going to have the same sound and be boring.

Please go into details(if you can).

because not as many people know the tracks. If you knew the tracks it is really hard to disguise a mix. Maybe if you had some amazing Filtering skills but other then that its quite easy.

Hernan's newest cd wasn't that great anyway. The first 5 tracks on cd 1 started off well, but then I couldn't see any direction he was going in. It was prety much all over the place.

Could have saved a few pennies there, unless of course its a rip, in which case you're just sad.

There's 3 types of users on these forums, those that give a balanced real view (good or bad) of something, those that ass lick and those that go out of their way to slag something off over and over again (the opposite of the ass-lickers). Such negative opposites include UVM, sandstorm03 and it seems, the likes of bluey here, who like to call everyone else the ass-lickers, regardless of whether they are, or just people that happen to really like the album.

I haven't heard it yet myself, but will check it out soon :)

yay
Blue.
CD 2 came up on my playlist yesterday without me even noticing it and by the time I did it was over half through it. I guess it is bearable, just not something worth buying.
