| I do like listining to Tiesto's sets but when i heard about the whole Disney thing i felt it had gone a bit too far. I mean he justified the olympics thing coz he said that he was trying to promote trance to a wider audience. fair enough. But how is playing to a bunch of kids and adult in furry suits gonna promote trance. Yes hes a good dj, doesnt have that many skills but then again neither does pvd or armin, and i love them as well. Its all popularity. The poll is not official so ppl shouldnt really worry about it that much. I dont think he will be # 1 next year |

see really this is the reason sasha won't be #1 again...
people like yourself probably haven't heard a sasha set since like 2001... i agree there was a part of sasha's near distant past where he played pretty boring prog...but that time has been over for a good year now and what he's been playing...in my opinion...has more energy and is better than every trance dj out there...
so really...even if people haven't liked sasha in the past because of the deep proggy stuff...people should really give him a chance these days...he's definitely playing at #1 caliber these days... |

| I keep cracking up with all these remarks about how great Tiesto is with interacting with the crowd. Maybe it's just me, but I don't see getting so wasted you trainwreck every transition, having your back to the crowd the entire night, and flirting with the sluts in the dj booth as amazing crowd interaction. Love em or hate em, the best top tier dj's I've seen when it comes to interacting with the crowd is a toss up between Armin and Ferry. |
