well your wrong about 80% of my sets atm are progressive... As are 80% of the cds that I own are progressive...
progressive = repetitive. Repetitiveness leads to "hypnotysm." Basically the same thing happends when your driving on the highway and stare at the white lines in the road. Then you suddenly wake up and try to think what you have been doing the past hour.

Thats my point. Did I say that Sasha was a bad dj? I just find It is harder to dance to his recent stuff then his older stuff. example involver.

Well thats my point. Its a different form of Energy. For example If Sasha were to play a one hour set, chances are that it would be prety boring. Because of the fact that he likes to build it up. Its just different. I am almost willing to bet that in a one hour set, he would play semi-boring electroish house tunes for 45-50 minuters, then end with a few cool tracks...
the boring statement comming from the fact that if you were in a club and looked around, the chances are that you will probably see a few, maybe a hand full of people dancing a bit if sasha was spinning. But when it comes down to it, after an hour of Tiesto of whoever I am willing to bet that the club will be bouncing.
Call it what you want...

A lot of the stuff he has been playing live is quite like his involver style. Is it not? If you go look @ previous Involver threads plenty of people have tried to prove arguments that it is a Dancy cd. Just because it has Sasha on the cover.
Anyway if you think this whole music with a "twist" like involver or whatever is a new concept, it really isn't. If you think Involver is remotely good you should check out "The Future Sound of London" & "Banco de Gaia" cds from 1994 or so. And tell me what you think. |

| Well, you can't always support an opinion. There isn't always a tangible reason why you feel stronger about one particular thing than another. I can't explain why I like progressive house better than trance, I just do. |

I like prog house right now more then I like trance right now(for the most part). Trance still has more "Energy." |

I suppose the supersaw synths, higher BPM, etc ... probably do provide more "energy," that much I will agree with. However, I have an easier time dancing at a prog house set than a trance set simply because I am enjoying the music more.

I know what you mean, thats why I like spinning prog. And thats why I feel its a shame that Sasha doesn't play it anymore :D . Even Digweed now has definately started moving away from prog. His last set was verry "tech-house." GRRR Still fun, but different. |

they still play lots of prog lee. sasha cant get away from moods and melody. diggers dropped plenty of 'prog with balls' at virgin. |

| I don't really know how I feel about the direction Digweed is going. I mean, yeah, it's different, but it's not different in a positive way IMO. It's almost too techy and experimental for my tastes, like trying too hard to be different and 'progressive.' |

Actually i wasnt pointing to you about Darude, Sveta actually has it in her profile. The fact that you are sandstorm03 is a coincidence that actually strengthed my point of "Nu Nrg, Tiesto, and Darude fans thinking Sasha is boring"
Cobalt proved me that not only Nu Nrg, Tiesto and Darude fans think Sasha is boring though.

hahah, thanks for reminding me. I had to change my profile long time ago before posting my clueless ideas about music. I just need somebody to remind me one more time not to forget to mention Sasha in my Fave Dj's info. hahahaha. He is not, but i have respect for him and what he does. Somebody likes it and well, let it be. And i will go and see him again and again just because Crobar's management wasn't smart enough to make somebody else a resident (thanks for Sander though) |
