i spoke to soon.
just took my old copies of djmag out and this is how he went.
2000 - 24
2001 - 6
2002 - 1
2003 - 1
2004 - 1
from 6 to 1 aint unlikely but from the 24 to six is. i beleive that is where he started selling himself.
*6-1 was where he was great but 2002 - 2004 :( |
Christpher Lawrence went from 35 to 7 between 2003 and 2004...don't see him as the type to "sell" himself by any means. |

| remember this is nothing but a popularity contest people... i'm sure 40% of the votes come from the raver kids who just "saw this awesome dj last week" :p |

| He is the world's most recognized Dj. Hes not a good producer but he is a great Dj who appeals to the crowd. and has a great track selection in his sets. So thats what makes him #1 |

he has made/been involved with some of the greatest trance records ever made, his DJing is average at most. |

He gets the audience into it.. thats the main feature of his mixing skill |

what i was saying was his production skkills are greater than his DJing skills not his djing feats. |

Yeah, I guess thousands of flashing lights, giant screens, MCs, strobes, balloons, fireworks, stage acts (including magic!), lasers, decorations, and mass auditoriums to hold a ton of people in so they can feed off the energy of being in close proximity to one another has the tendancy to appeal to the crowd. |

| I give nothing but the upmost respect for Tiesto. Haters can say what they want, but he has succeeded at what he does, and I'm pretty sure that he doesn't mind all the internet bashing as long as those same people go pay $40-75 to see him, which they do. Can't wait till Armin the heir apparent succeeds Tiesto and all the bashing happens again. Whatever Tiesto is doing, it's working, and if I was him, I would be a happy man. |
