The key to this will be the Arab World asserting itself that these people have no place among us, sadly the words will not match the actions. Like all bad seeds, ostracization is paramount to flushing out these individuals. These individuals are honestly convinced they did a great good for the world. I am a tolerant human being, but its taking all of my rationale to keep from becoming someone I am not, intolerant of others. |

| the attack took place at 9am, why wasn't there any news until like 3 hours ago ? or is it just me, who found out recently ? |

| my first assumption of who did it was somone from the domestic muslim population. the police have been making arrests of some clerics, that might be angering some extremists. |

Interesting point of debate, and I disagree.
Communism is extremely idealistic, and it requires total participation by a community. However, the community doesnt need to be the size of China or even Cuba to work. It could be your local neighborhood, a city, or even just 10 families.
These people decide that theyre going to work for each other, using their various skills and abilities to ensure their continued existence. They would make rules and regulations governing their actions together; no one would be the spokesman or rule over the other. |
Sir Robert Owen tried this. He built a town in Indian and another in Britain and tried to have a communal society. Both of the towns eventually broke down, however, a lot of what he implemented in those towns became the basis for the social systems in place in the UK today (including public education, healthcare, etc). If you are interested in socialism you should look into Owen, facinating man. |

Just to let everyone know, my sister is okay. She was actually at King's Cross Station shortly before the attack, so is a little shaken up. It just goes to show that you can go through life thinking that this sort of thing will never effect you, but in reality, it really could. But thank you to all those who showed concern, and even took the time to PM me. It means a lot. |

As for those who attempt to rationalize or explain the actions of such individuals as being tied to Iraq or the historical imperialization of the Arab World or the influence of Western Culture on their societies, the point is severley missed. These pondscums have been at this for a long time in different forms, long before Bush, 9-11, etc.
|
The western imperialization fo the Arab World has been going on since the 1800s, Islamic extremist terrorism started in the 1970s. |
