Thats what State and Federal security forces are for.

The military takes the fight to them. While government agencies protect the interior.

Unless you would rather fight it out in your streets.

And having witness to the tactics terrorist groups use...they wouldnt fight you in the streets...but secretly blow you and everyone you know up without warning.

LIKE TODAY. Oh and that day back in September 2001...with the aircraft and two tall buildings...you know that day right? Cant call that fighting...more like terrorism.

So yeah.... "pre-emptive" = teh win.

That would be why I give my condolences or have my thoughts with the aforementioned people.

well, ive seen a few, not going to search. but in general, on the news and all that, people start talking about "god this" and "god protect that" etc. pisses me off. like god is some good luck charm or something.

Hitting back first?

I just dont see how troops over there would make any difference to the wackos causing the problems here, as, well, they are here already.

Its striking at the source though. I bet most of the terrorists hiding out in the US and Europe at the moment are foreign nationals, from North Africa, Middle East and South-East/Central Asia. The breeding grounds in these countries have to be broken up, particulary in the case of Iraq and Afghanistan and i'd hope Morocco too as it crops up a lot.

lol just stfu pal, most people turn to god as they need something to beleive in with meaning, just feel lucky that being the macho man you are, you dont need any comfort from religion. Let the people affected grieve eh? instead of going off on a tandem about your own annoyances.

Good man...I agree.

We arent fighting in the desert. We already did that in 1991 :p Its in the hole "urban" areas they have managed to build over the years.

Basically its just a group of walls on top of a landfill. Thats Iraq.

So, in the words of some nut job in the bush admin: "BRING IT ON!"

actually if u talk to any seasoned strategist, theyll tell u street combat is the worst situation to be in for an attacking army. its perfect for defense. america is said to have the most mobile military in the world. that dont mean in rubble and cities where tanks dont have full range or clear lines of fire, etc.

A well planned attack and with no immediate arrests or suspects, then it means a well planned escape as well. Terrorists in the homeland are not normally run of the mill fools like the typical suicide bomber with a vest of TNT running into a crowd in Iraq. On the contrary, they are provocative, planning educated folk who want their attacks to have meaning, like strike in conjunction with a G8 summit or similar worldwide event, so they can maximize their message of terror on a larger audience. They don't want to get caught as well, so going after them will take Interpol and all other resources to determine which terroristic cell was given the specific attack mission. I'm sure the attack took planning for several weeks, if not longer and it will take police several months to figure out what exactly happened.
