For so long now you hear on the news that people have been arrested under the terrorist laws! Makes you wonder if they have been succesfull to the point of it not bein on the Madrid or NY level of terrorism. |

Yeah, it's obvious they were attacking the transport system itself rather than the actual Londoners.
But there are still people trapped at King's Cross station. :( |

Yes I did at first, I was sitting here at work and it came across the wires. I lost a relative in the 911 attacks and my step sister lost a brother in the Spain attacks, so this hits home. I feel sick at the moment for all the people there. Lets just hope that there are no more attacks and we can find the cowards that did this and make them pay. |

only head about this about 45 mins ago, and i can't get though to Toni, who works in Holborn, which is very Central London or Fiona who works at London Bridge. Fortunately, in the worst sense of the word, the explosions have been a bit more northern, so that would suggest that they are fine.
But it also leaves the possiblilty that the south will be attacked soon. :whip: :whip:
The Mobile phone networks are ed and i need to know if they are ok :(
Our landlines are ed at the moment too, looks like only companie featurenet phone networks are working

fortunately it seems that this attack wasn't meant to kill and maim people, but more to paralyse the public transport system and show that this is what they are capable of.
This attack is very similar to when the BBC had a documentary on what would london do in the event of multiple explosions on the public transport system. In the reconstruction of a hypothetical terrorist attack, they hit the stations at rush hour, thus killing lots of people. as the "day" went on, chlorine lorry tankers were hijacked and blown up too.
If that happens, god help us :nervous: |
