| hit up camelback in the rain yesterday with a few friends... "graduated" to the blues and double greens of that mountain. i was able to do link some heel and toe turns at times, but i think the most important development was going down the trails with speed and not wanting to bail out. that was cool |

| has anyone repaired a small gouge on their own board before? i THINK that's what happened to mine |

| i don't know who is free this weekend, but i need to go snowboarding!!! it has been almost a month "not that the temps have been snowboarding temps" who's in? i don't know where i am going yet, but i am up so suggestions? |

im in a car already for sat morning, probably leaving the city around 530-6am ish onward to camelback |

there're some scratches on the top too but that isn't as pressing |

well depending on the size of the "gouge", i'd say "battle scars" so be proud of how damanged your board is lol
on concern about money spent versus quality of make, i'd say to bring it to a shop to get it shaved and waxed if the issue is deeply concerning. i have plenty of scratches, marks, anything/everything on my board and it doesn't phase me to leave them there...kinda makes me proud hahaha |

hah. but if you leave gouges and things on there, doesn't it make waxing difficult? |

usually they shave it down before they wax it
and waxing is used to "fill" scrapes and stuff |

hm i might try cleaning the board and waxing it after my next run to see what happens. the waxing part'll be fun i imagine |

i would do as brian has suggested, wax it for now, but at the end of the season i would bring it to a ski/snowboard shop, and have them redo the base, they fill it in with what is called ptex, then they will wax and sharpen the board for you so it is ready for next season, it normally will cost anywhere from $25.00 to about $40.00 and is worth it for next season based on the sharpening alone! i can never get as sharp of an edge with a hand sharpener |

dams, sat is not good for me for day boarding, maybe night at mountain creek, or day during sunday? |

depending how deep the scrapes are they will fill it with wax |
