Killington is an obvious since its so close (compared to the west)

I heard vail is ultra ritzy, pretty much a scene where you'll end up spending tons of cash. New Mexico never heard, I heard Wisconsin and Utah have some GREAT MOUNTAINS!

Oh yea, every weekend I'll be up at camelback in the poconos
and ever week day that it snows in the city, I'll most likely be in Riverside park making jumps and rails for the afterwork special chill session. Friends and I have already planned it. I also think there is another krew from Blades n Boards setting up somewhere else in the city like a small park with 2 jumps and I think a soap box to grind on. I think that's downtown somewhere, so if you see some asian kid on the subway with a snowboard strapped to his bag, it'll probably be me lols.

true, i went to vail before and its mad expensive but i LOVED that mountain!

i wanna go to montreal also!! actually i think i'm going to montreal for thanksgiving instead of vermont.

we'll be snowboarding all week and then crash at tiesto :disbelief

You guys are HARDCORE! I live up here most of these mountains are 1-2 hours away from me and I choose not to go because of the conditions. I guess I should break out the beater board and go rock carving!

I take 2 boards with me on my trips up north or when I go out west. A beater board is essential if you are taking drops in the back country. I keep my newer board (ride decade 2005) for the park and trails. I rode my beater board at killington and i kind of actually like it more than my decade...but my decade gets mad love since its much more snappier and makes that lovely clap sound when you land some nice air. god i want to go boarding...

Your definitely best off going to Utah. Get a place in Salt Lake and you're within a 45minutes of so much incredible skiing. First, you have Snowbird and Alta - IMO this is the closest you can get to european skiing in the US. There's just something about the jagged terrain there that makes it seem that way. Plus they get the best damn powder in the US. Then you have massive resorts like Park City/Deer Valley and Canyons. There's a little something for everyone there. Finally, you have your lesser known resorts - Sundance, Brighton, Solitude, Snowbasin. These places are often empty and must be hit up on powder days. You can cut fresh tracks late into the morning on mountains that kick the crap out of anything you'll find here.

HEH,, snappy, With these new boards granted they are getting stiffer agian you still don't see snappy! My favorite most snappy board of all time was my circa 96 (I think) Jeff Brushie. That board had soooo much tail snap you could pop over the blue barrels with just a hint of a lean. Back in the jibbing days! ohhh how I miss just bonking off random objects! Now kids spin somany times I honestly think their boards are going to create lift and they are going to take off! Boards then went ultra flexable so you could "Feel the mountain" and they were ultra light. But they are making their way back to stiff and the weight is staying down there with the new technologies!

You've gotta let me know when you go to the Poconos. I'd love to come along for a weekend. I'll supply the car and booze.

We should go with frost and alisa

I'll bring the other stuff to go along with the booze you know in case of emergencies n stuff...and anyways i live right by your school so you should be coming to pick me up anyways. I also don't fear riding the train with my board. It's kind of interesting when I do so, i get alot of looks from people, the only bad part is my pants drag through the NYC so i dunno lols
