im listening to the full CD right now and i gotta say wow!! this guy seems like he mixed these songs while eating a sandwich or something.
cue points arent even that good. and i have to agree like the other guys, transition from track 2 to 3 on cd1 is unbelievable.
the songs are way better than isos4. they have the isos feel to it at least. but man this guy doesnt know how to mix for . i understand some songs will be tough to transition but not that hard. plus i think he could have arranged the songs better. |

Do you prefer this over my ableton mix? :haha:
If Tiesto used Ableton for this...then there is no excuse for mixing...at all. |

^^hey actually i was listening to your mix recently. im sure u improved by now since you recorded drop deep.
but i noticed that you could have done better at EQing.
yes, your mix is better at transitions, cue points and all the rest.
but this is tiesto, everything he does and touches becomes magikal. whatever he does becomes the standard, so the new standard is ty transitions. |

Yeah...soon I'm getting a new soundcard so I'll have three ableton chanels routed through each channel in my mixer, so I can do all my EQing through the mixer. On that mix I was doing eqing using keyboard and mouse which is practically impossible lol.
And like hell if what he does becomes the standard, more like the laughing stock of the industry... |

now thats a nice setup. i just cant imagine eqing with mouse or keyboard. i tried my luck with ableton and followed the mixing tutorial but it ended up sounding like the new 'standard'
i like people who think that whatever tiesto plays is his song.
for example, the songs that are in isos are suddenly considered his own.
ISOS4:
1. Tiesto - Like A Waterfall
2. Tiesto - Moments
3. Tiesto - La Noche
4. Tiesto - Bad |

This is why I thought the Tiesto In Concert idea was genius, in the fact that I would estimate 80% of the people there (the LA one at least) thought all that music was tiesto's. This is great for him cause it makes him seem absolutely amazing when most of the music he is playing is actually made by someone else...
Most of the newer Tiesto fans download anything labelled "Tiesto" from Kazaa (I know because I used to do exactly that, my how times change :p ) and thus assume its his... |

And to top all the bad reviews off - there is now about 5 tracks in his playlist that would completely on half the tracks on ISOS5.
Why the hell didn't he wait until after Miami before releasing a CD.
Bad management decision there. |

Why did he release a CD titled Los Angeles in Miami? :wtf:
Reminds me of Tiesto in Concert LA where, the theme was supposed to be "Around The World" with a diffferent region every hour or so, yet none of the visualization images had anything to do with the respective region, and neither did any of the tracks. :wtf: It was like...what the hell is this a joke? |
