I completely agree.
The way I see it is I care about many people on this board and I hope that as my friends they care enough about me to look out for my well being aswell.
I dont think anyone needs to point fingers or call each other hypocrites. It's irrelevent as I think the entire point of this this thread was to give everyone a wake up call and move on. No one can move forward if we are constantly reminding them of the past. |

Yes, it's ok to point out everyone else's perceived problems but it's not ok to point out that the door swings both ways.
Anyone that's trying to post in this thread with clean hands is only fooling themselves.
I know what Nat's intentions were. And I don't doubt for a second that they didn't come from a good place, knowing the type of person she is. All I'm saying is that people are going to go on the offensive quite naturally when you start deciding for them that their use is a problem whereas your own is quite acceptable. |

I know that, and that's why I posted that the entire joke itself should not be posted on the internet any long.
The reason why it got to be such a big deal is b/c it was a joke, just like any joke is with a group of friends. At no point were "Tony Island" comments having anything to do with drugs. The entire point of the "Island" was that it's a big blow up bed that when you sit on it is like you're on an island. That is all. It's just the same as saying, "I'm going to go sit on the big blow up couch."
But as you said, the joke makes people come off in a certain light, which is why in my prior post I said that maybe it's time the jokes about it are no longer posted. |

I don't think the particulars of Tony Island need to be discussed any further. Just like Graham had mentioned earlier, stabs at individual people or groups of people should not be made. So I think it would be best if the "Tony Island story" not be posted. I hope other people will respect this as well.
{Edit} Just an FYI to all of those who don't know...Tony Island is a BLOW UP AIR MATRESS!! A place to sit or lay with there is not enough room on chairs or couches. That is all!! |

ok well then let me tell u ppl my problems and then i can judge all of ya.
i seldom use drugs...maybe anywhere from 3-5 times year usually alot less. but when i do i go full out. like i used to be a bit of a crackie when i was younger so alot of drugs i have a high tolerance for. so i got to go full out to catch a buzz which usually renders me feeling ty for the next 4-5 days, thus why i only do it maybe 3 times a year. last time i did drugs i felt like for over 2 weeks and now i dont think ill ever touch ex again. same thing happened with cocaine. used to do it alot when i was younger but the comedowns started becoming to hard for me so i dont do it anymore and the thought of the drug disgusts me. However the night of scumfrog at this is london i was jacked up on coke. felt so ty inside the club that i had to drink my face off just to not feel the coke effects. that must have been abt 4 months ago. thats the last time ive tried any drugs. cept for oxycotins i popped like a month ago at work cause someone had a bag full. shouldnt be in with pain killers but whatever.
do i have a drug habit? yeah a small one..very minimal compared to some peeps. do i have a history of drug abuse, yes i do but i believe my drug abuse was more because of my rebelious attitude and willingness to try new things. first man in the pool i guess. but whatever here i am today at the age of 24 and i look back at my life notice i have made tons of mistakes but did i find the right path in life for me. somehow by jumpin form path to path i found the right one and im planning to stay on this one for quite a while till i find something better. which is more then some can say. so yes i can be reckless but thorugh it i found my niche in life. im happy, confident and if it wasnt for drugs and being an idiot i would have never gotten to where i am.
now since im done judging myself. its time to judge u guys who have the soo called "drug Problem".
all i can say to u ppl is hahahahahahahahahahahaha been there done that its a looooooooong journey. and ur not gonna change unless YOU want too. aint nobody gonna change ur mind or change ur habits but YOU. dont wait around for it, nats not gonna make u stop im not gonna make u stop nobody is gonna make u stop. Hell u prolly dont even think u have a problem.. which is cool, ur just not ready to stop.
but if u are, theres only one way to go abt it. first thing u do is go thru the withdrawl period. No, im not talking abt the physial addiction part. im talking abt the addiction to the lifestyle. for a good few motnhs u got to break off all ur ties to ur friends who u usually do drugs with / party with. lock ur ass up in ur house for a while. let ur mind heal and gain strength assuring urself u dont need this . then u got to make new contacts and find new intrests and start a brand new life. YAYYYYYYYYYYYY FUN.

| I went through a period, where I was not too happy with a lot of the things in my life, and was overdoing the partying huge, the culmination of my excessive use came to a head, when I did so much/many substances in one night that I basically had a paranoia attack and lost my grasp of reality. I had no understanding of what was real and not real, and I was in state of fear so intense, I can't fully describe it in words, it was truly a night of horror, and I was shaken up for days. I do think tho, that that was the best thing that could have happened to me, b/c I got my together. I would never wish what I experienced on anyone b/c it was close to unbearable, but I think people need to realize that overdoing it and mixing things together can extremely adverse effects, we need to be careful, we are not superhumans. |
