but if u are, theres only one way to go abt it. first thing u do is go thru the withdrawl period. No, im not talking abt the physial addiction part. im talking abt the addiction to the lifestyle. for a good few motnhs u got to break off all ur ties to ur friends who u usually do drugs with / party with. lock ur ass up in ur house for a while. let ur mind heal and gain strength assuring urself u dont need this . then u got to make new contacts and find new intrests and start a brand new life. YAYYYYYYYYYYYY FUN.

It may sound hard, but this is very very true.

if your gunna do drugs go ahead and do them...no one is stopping you, but for your own personal safety use responsibly. thats it.

and for the "tony island" jokes, why should ppl who know what that is hide it? who gives a its a joke..remember ha ha funny funny. its a blow up bed...which is reallly amazing to sleep/sit/lounge on(thanks for sharing joshy)

we are all smart people..well id like to think/hope so, we all have brains, so lets make sure they still work

This thread is full of way too much hypocrasy for me :nervous:

There is no hypocrasy. I never said it bothered me. I just said I prefer not to engage in that kind of activity, and people who push it too far at the expense of themselves don't earn my respect by doing that. Are you telling me that I shouldn't go clubbing because I don't approve of some people's behaviour? Those are the same people who give clubbing/electronic music a negative image in the public's eye.

It's the same kind of respect you lose for a body-builder when you learn that they do steroids. It's their choice, and I have no choice other than to accept it, but I don't have to approve of it. That being said, would it be fair for you to tell someone to reconsider going to the gym to work out if they held the same negative opinion of the steriod-pumped lamers who frequent the place? I have every right to be at a nightclub if I want to.

Do people not realize that they, themselves, are part of the reason that our beloved music carries the image of the music of drug-addicted sketched-out people who never go to bed? Yes, I would enjoy it a lot more if there weren't drunk, sketched out people all over the place. I party sober. Every single time. That's my choice. Of course I wish others would do the same, but I don't think I'm being hypocritical in having that wish.

I have had several close friends have very close calls with k. One being the dealer doing his stash, and the dealers best friend doing his stash.

yea it got messy, it ruined their lives and it lead to a situation just like the show intervention for both of them. One said no, got kicked out of his house, and was a wreck, but still using. The other said yes, and started on a great path right away.

fast forward 6 months and hes doing great. in fact they both are.

While I dont know any details of "tony island" whos doing k, g, coke, crack, e or whatever, just realize that when your FRIENDS confront you (and graham seems to think this post is directed @ some people), theres a pretty good chance that they are right, and if you cant see their concern and inability to help you without confrontation, then you just keep on munching your little pills.

If I was nat, I would send PMs to those I was concerned with and forward them to post 1 page 1. Sure it might do some relationship damage, but short term damage is WELL WORTH the improvements to ones life.

yes, the idea of this thread is great. we all know people (ME??!?!?) that have gone or are on the wrong side of the line. but this is a tricky topic, and again. maybe a lot of you don't see the personal references, but myself and several others, who know a lot of TAs outside this board, can easily see who a lot of the posts are directed to. i'm talking about all the posts, not just the starting one.

i'm sitting here wondering how so and so is going to feel when s/he reads this thread and sees so many posts looking in their direction, especially if these same posters haven't said anything to his/her face. pretty ty i imagine.

even more so when the people that are partying beside him/her every weekend are the same ones in this thread acting all "drugs are bad. people who get fuct up are stupid. why can't people control themselves".

Now that I think about the thread name and all thats already been discussed.. does TOTA really have that big of a crisis?

not knowing almost any of the members on TOTA i can't really say.

but i know the scene has always dealt with drugs and its not the only group of music that deals with drugs. its a problem because people don't respect themselves and the drugs they take including alcohol and tobacco. i have friends that smoke like chimney's on a winter day, and it's disgusting how much smoke they take in since i'm probably one of the only ones who doesn't smoke.
