Nick knows his .... hehehehe... do you like Kubrick? |
i dont think u can put aronofsky at the same level as lynch, i dont think he proved enough his genuis with only two movies, pi and requiem for a dream (which are both realllyy good).
kubrick is the man, maybe my favorite, i've seen all his movies and are all awesome. the best imo : clockwork orange (sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo sick) |

I have to put down on a word on this cause yes, I have profound love for Lynch's work. i'm glad im not alone. ;-)
Mullholand drive is to this day my favorite all time movie. It touched me like no movie did before. And it would be just a waste of word to try to describe how I think he is a genius. Not a very good filmaker. A genius. In control of an art that goes way beyond good film making. What he manages to put on film is unreal, yet, so real and emotional at the same time.
Very impressive that while you can't even say what the movie was really about, it shatters your heart for weeks.
i'm a BIG fan. |

I'm curious to see the results... tell me which film is better...
Mulholland Drive or Clockwork Orange?
Requiem for a Dream or City of God?
Trainspotting or Amelie?
Tiesto in Concert II or Run Lola Run? |

City of God is an amazing movie.
Little zee isnt just a brazilian thug, but a good new house release.
I know this thread is for Lynch, but imo City of God is more entertaining and captivating than most of his movies:p |

I'm really glad you appreciate this filmmaker, but to tell you the truth this doesn't actually surprise me that much.:) I can definately see how Lynch's mind could influence your music. Haunting darkness...:disbelief
Be sure to check out Lynch's new movie when it comes out this year:

Set in the inland valley outside of Los Angeles, David Lynch's new film is a mystery about a woman in trouble. :D:D

City of God is indeed sick...definately a movie to own.
On Lynch and Cidade Dedus: even tho the two shouldn't be compared, I would agree with you on the entertaining but disagree with the captivating. Lynch is mucho captivating my friend, if you're into bizarre realism:)
--------------
Martin, you should make a remix of the Twin Peaks theme :eyespop: :eyespop:

Jules et Jim is so fkn poetic. It's visual poetry. I like like that.
If you wanna learn how to screenwrite download all of Charlie Kaufman's scripts and become a sponge. He's brilliant.
Gotta pass some lover over to P.T Anderson... Boogie Nights, Magnolia, Punch Drunk Love... so goooood |
