Quebec is killing Canada on the film and TV front. It accounts for 78% of the Canadian film revenue. Hehehehe. Silly Telefilm...

(edit: Charles Biname, dick in real life, but responsible for both Seraphin (the peurfs go nuts for Karen Vanasse) and The Rocket. He's a bigshot.)

Some paintings by Lynch:

Bébé électrique en apesanteur 1986

::""When it comes to painting, it´s the darker things I find really beautiful. All my paintings are organic, violent comedies. They have to be violently done, and primitive and crude, and to achieve that I try to let nature paint more than I paint and stay out of the way as much as I can. In fact, I don´t paint with a brush too much any more - I prefer to use my fingers. I´d bite them if I could.""::-DAVID LYNCH

Offtopic: Wouldn't mind watching a Quebec film, I've never seen one I think. P.T.Anderson is ING SICK.

BTW, very frustrating to own the first season of Twin peaks to find out that the second season on DVD doesn't even exist, anywhere!

It seems a few copies of the second season has been distributed in a limited number somewhere in Europe on dvd... but impossible to get.

They have the second season at "la boite noire" but in video and my old video likes to eat the tape. So I wouldn't dare put a lynch film in there.
Marcus007
hahahahahaha

precious lynch

hehehehehe

:P

So Martin, when are you gonna start dropping us hints about The Fountain. I've already gone through the callsheets but I'm too impatient to wait till October. :P

:eyes:

Creator had something to do with Aronofksy's Fountain?!?!?!?
That is too sick if it's true. Aronofksy is one of the best directors of his generation and The Fountain has to be my most anticipated film of the year (and this is a GREAT year for films)!!

Just to stay on topic :p here's a little something the man made:

Ahhhh, the magic of internal organs ahhahaha

Well you know, I haven't done much on the Fountain.

Mainly I was working on a scene that was taking place a long time ago, in a kind of maya world, where Hugh Jackman ( a soldier ) is left alone to fight about 30 mayas by himself. The fx was basically to make sur the weapons really reached the victims, and adding throwing lances that went trought the body of soldiers.

And a lot of non fx shots that you would never notice, like cutting out a technician out of a scene, adding snow, thins like that. I also did a great transition where you see a forest with snow, and a camera pan moves trought snow (and time) to see a different shot (a coffin), that was nice to work on.

But I don't have any juicy stuff, except that the shots were very very nice. Heard mix reviews about people who saw it, but I can say that it would be a beautiful movie.

didnt know you were a film editor, very interesting.

as far as The second season of Twin Peaks:
http://search.ebay.com/search/searc...ks+season+2+dvd

There are ways to get around the location codes of the DVD if you decide to buy a copy.;)

La boite noir is a gem in a world of generic blockbuster franchises and generic movies. It was the only place i could find The Crazies from George A Romero, and no its not a Zombie movie:p

No not a film editor, an FX compositor.

Thanks for the link I will check it out

ahhh even cooler, maybe you can explain how they made the scene from Irrevisible with the fire extinguisher look so real.Best and most disturbing effects ever.Such an amazing movie.Who needs Hollywood poop.
Ravemontreal
Yes indeed that is a very disturbing scene.

I would say that the fire extinguisher is actually smaller, and that he stops a few inches from the face. Then, they add and track a 3d part at the bottom of the extinguisher to make it longer, to reach the face. First couple of hits would be bruises added and tracked over the guy's face, and when the face gets really messy, the entire real head would be cut out to be replace by a full cgi head getting crushed.
