Whoa whoa...are you saying Osborne schooled Burridge?? He was awesome, but not THAT awesome. Perfect choice for an opener though.

"Schooled" may have been the wrong choice to describe, more something along the lines of "step up to the plate".

I agree 100% that there were a disproportionate amount of dissapointments over the last year, but couldn't disagree more that toronto is not on the map.

DJ's rave about how much they like playing here in interviews all the time.

dj mag posted one of Steve Lawler's Wierdest moments was the morning to T.O. Coppers decided to bust up his party in 2005 on the SkyBar-

i'd say T.O. is on the map too.....

+1

Lee Most definately did those two nights...which is why I'd love a headlining set from him one day.

not really any locals are playing 5 nights a week. there are stretches where it can get like that (mostly during the summer months or holidays or something) but thats not really an excuse.

we all fully wanna move on and rep our city to the fullest but the plain truth is some of us arent working hard enough (myself included) in the studio (some are and it wont be long before they take off, i think)

look at the international djs, they play lotsa nights a week and travel on planes to each gig usually. theyre still making beats and putting quality releases out so why cant we?

i mean look at mr lio
lotsa gigs
lotsa produksh

inspires me, he does

Not a spectacular year for internationals or maybe its just how we feel towards them nowadays? Toronto has superb DJ potential and I think we've become a bit spoiled haha
Set of the year for me so far has to be Miguel Migs @ TiL were he played just over 6 hours of sheer sexy house music :toocool:

Agree with you on that point...almost as if they underestimate our knowledge and understanding of the music in certain ways.

To me I've been most impressed with International/Headlining DJ's when they drop a set where I BARELY can name a single tune.

100% agree

I love it when I go out and the set sounds 100% fresh with only a few tracks that I recgonize. I go out to hear NEW music, not a re-hash of whats been playing on my iPod for the last few months.

Great to hear some insight from you Nathan. Care to share some of your recent European musical endeavours? How were the clubs/crowds/cities/etc?

Tell me about it. And I thought I was turning into a music snob. Guess I'm not!
