I think it's quite catchy to be honest. Sure the Deadmau5 sound may be a bit too noticeable but I don't mind it at all.
Then again I never was the biggest fan of the original so my view may be more skewed.
Wow at the abuse of the guy though. The track isn't that bad. |

I think the reason it's disliked is two-fold: it's seen as an unnecessary remix of a classic track, which is bad enough unto itself, and moreover, it's generally seen as a bad remix, at that.
I still need to hear it in order to make my own assessments... |

it doesnt beat hybrids own echoplex mix.
hybrids music is some of the best produced. cant imagine ANY remix topping a hybrid original. |

I don't agree with that at all. Faithless' first album was more pop than it was clubby, where as later albums became much more experimental. Their fourth album, No Roots, is very sophisticated and far removed from your typical artist album, where as Reverance has clear genre and song boundaries, and at least 50% of it is just pop music, basically.
I don't know why you're arguing Faithless so much though. Your example of Underworld was much better- they're as respected now as ever.

I don't agree with this at all, either. Neither Finished Symphony nor ing Northern Exposure East Coast are remotely close to the biggest classics in dance music. I think you're just taking a track and a compilation you like and blowing them out of all proportion here. |

Yeah Faithless is perhaps not the best example. I took them as an example since they became so big during the years and their singles moved from pure club hits such as Salva Mea and God is a DJ to pop tunes such as One Step Too Far. Normally a group would had been bashed for this but in Faithless case they moved forward and back between the pop landscape and club landscape with an elegance which is rare. |
