My beef with the track is that it really tosses Finished Symphony out the window.
It doesn't really do it injustice because it hardly even uses the original song....
Should have been released as an original production by Deadmau5, not as a remix.
I think it sold well because it caters to the progressive trance crowd, while it pisses people off because it was a breaks classic.
I'm not saying a remix shouldn't take the track in a different direction, I'm just saying that the original shouldn't be an afterthought. What a missed opportunity. |
