The AL West is and always will be boring. Unless you live on the west coast or in the Pacific somewhere its hard to follow them. Games are so late and half the time the papers don't post the scores in the paper until the following day once the result is over a day old. Kind of pointless in my mind. The NL West is a lot more interesting also. Except for this year that is.

The Angels got more interesting with Teixeria :eyes:

Marlins get Manny Ramirez, one prospect (BOS), and cash (likely Ramirez’s remaining salary)
Pirates get Jeremy Hermida and three prospects (two FLO, one BOS)
Red Sox get Jason Bay and John Grabow

Ugh.

Jeez, looks like Tampa Bay have been on fire over the last two weeks. At least Cleveland have managed to move off the bottom of their div though, thank god.:(

are the Angels really as good as their results suggest?

The best way to look at that is to look at Runs Scored vs. Runs Allowed. Some sites even have the expected wins-losses that use the RS v. RA to figure out what the record should've been.

http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/stand...rder=false&st=2

It's the last stat on the right. According to that, the Angels record was a lot better than it should've been.
