When did you stop liking the Tigers? You had an emblem for your avatar for awhile.
If he stays healthy, Phil Hughes is gonna be a stud!
So will Clayton Kershaw in the near future. Watched a bit of his game this weekend. Nasty ass curve from a lefty. By the way, listening to Vince Scully is like listening to poetry.
Evan Longoria, future Ryan Braun with a glove. |

Hey guys,
organising some tickets for me and my boss and his kid for a game in San Diego (Petco Park). I've never been to a baseball game before
Just in general, which do you guys think is better for baseball, sitting at field level (row 40) or sitting on the middle terrace?
Both seats are about the same distance along the baseline.
(for reference, field reserved 116 or Toyota Terrace reserved 215).
I know for most sports I go to (which are quite different to baseball) I prefer to sit lower than on a balcony, but dunno if its different with baseball.
cheers |
Generally, the lower you are the better and the closer you are to home plate the better. I personally prefer to be behind home plate but in the lower rows of the upper deck.
I'd do the Toyota Terrace level seats in a heartbeat. Sure you're higher up, but you get access to the lounges and restaurants.

I visited Petco Park last season. It's a very nice ballpark in an excellent location since it's next to the Gaslamp district.

and yes I'm OBSESSED with trying to visit all the baseball parks :p |

Future Ryan Braun? Ryan Braun is the future Ryan Braun. Dudes only had 1 season in the majors... and he's moving to LF. |

On my fantasy team last year my friend. You missed out. My man crush for Ryan Braun is already well documented.
Him and Chase Utley. |

im not knocking your picks, but just looking at what you think bothers me about baseball... i dont really watch it that much but i know all these teams have just been in the playoffs like within the past 3 years...
lets do a better playoff look... which would make me actually watch baseball
AL East: Rays
AL Central: Royals
AL West: Mariners
Wild Card: Orioles
NL East: Nationals
NL Central: Brewers
NL West: Dodgers
Wild Card: Cubs
World Series: Rays over Cubs in 7 at Wrigley 7-4 w/ bases loaded 2out deep fly ball caught over the fence... (although i think there is a net or somethign that prevents fielders at wrigley from making any of those kinds of catches...)
Now that's some baseball that will get people talking and excited about the game... :D |
