I'm new to TA, you might have seen my nickname on Tribe, Lush nightclub, or London Canada Vibe boards....
Fave Djs are Misstress Barbara and Tiesto (not really the same kinda music, eh?)
I'm from London, ON - 21 y/o and a student at Western....

Hey there,
My name is Mike and I'm 22. I've been in Montreal for almost a month but I'm just here for the summer. I go to the University of British Columbia. I'm only here for the summer and I think I'm going to regret that. Anyway, I've only been into Trance and house and most of the other "elctronic music" that I'm getting into for a year but I love it. I seriously moved here partly because I knew I'd see better shows here than Victoria and Vancouver. Tiesto will be my first show of the summer. I'm going alone because I haven't met anyone here yet who's into going. I don't really care though because it's Tiesto and it'll be amazing regardless. |

Je viens de finir ma 2e année en informatique de gestion au cégep Rosemont. Je vis à Mtl depuis l'âge de 1 an.
J'ai commencé à m'intéressé à la musique électronique en 97. J'aimais déjà beaucoup le Dance/House à l'époque, j'ai simplement suivi l'évolution de la musique en me branchant constemment à des radios européennes grace à l'internet... quel outil merveilleux!!
Ensuite j'ai été assistant-gérant d'un magasin de disques pendant 1 an. Ça m'a juste fait aimer encore plus la musique. J'ai découvert d'autres styles, des DJs que je connaissais pas, etc. C'est grace à ce travail que j'ai rencontré 2 bons amis à moi, qui sont aussi d'excellents DJs: DJ Buzzer et StephRave(sont pas encore connu mais bon). J'ai même eu l'occasion de travailler à l'organisation d'un rave privé avec eux... c'était trippant!!! :D
Bon j'pense en avoir assez dit! lol

Hey I guess I should post here as well since I am pretty new.
My name is joe and i'm one of the ottawa TA's. I am 19, I go to carleton university and I am studying international business. I just got into trance a year or two ago and i would still say im pretty new. And i have only really been going to rave parties for a few months now. Kinda hard when your friends arnt interested in it. I love montreal and I am finding myself comming down more and more. But like you all say, it becomes part of your blood. I couldnt stop if i tried.
Trance is what got me started and I'll always love it, but recently i have been branching out. I have found myself enjoying techno, house and prog. I tend to like harder music and cant stand your average mediocre cheese trance. Dj's i love: Tiesto, Mauro Picotto, AVB and digweed at times.

I started doing megamixes on computer...
at that time I was still into dance and house...
in 99 I left all the crap behind... I was doing a radio show at my CEGEP and i dedicated my show to trance. from the start live mixing was in my blood cause of all the megamixes i did before...
DJ Charlie was born.I was the only one to do a non-stop trance show and this is were I met RnakR... heheh months, years have past...
RnarK found me at Aria when Ferry Corsten was the guest DJ...
I only go out raving or after houring when there's a trance DJ... else that... no thanks... .. j'en ai ma claque du hard house. I go out in clubs, drinking, fishing...
My top 5 DJs are: Armin, Ferry, Markus Schulz, Tiesto and Preach
of course I like most of the other djs...
DJs that I hate: Misstress Barbe a rat, thats about it... lol
Update:
I'm studying at university Ecole de Technologie Superieure in electronic engineering
I'm now into Trance, Progressive and Techno.
I spin sometimes here and there. I keep you updated most of the time when I have a gig that might interest you.
for now, I go out almost every friday and saturday...

Mike here. I'm 22 years of age and I'm from Fredericton, NB. I have one year remaining before finish my Degree in Civil/Structural engineering... In my spare time I enjoy washing my car, working on my car, modding my car, and socializing (partying).
I will be in Montreal for Canada Weekend with some friends and we'll be staying at the Crowne Plaza on Sherbrooke. We also have tix to go see Oakenfold at Aria on the 29th. Can't wait!!!!! :D |
