The Dash is such a horrible phone though! Smarphone edition blows and so does that slow cpu. God I was glad to get rid of the 200Mhz stuff. WM just sucks on stuff that slow.

I agree, the processor is slow as . that's why i have OMAPClock and overclock it to 267mhz, no more menu problems and applications run like they're supposed to. only downside is i have to charge it every day but that's how i usually have to roll with the cellular anyways. also i updated to a hacked WM6.1 firmware with a bunch of other bells and whistles. the dash straight out of the box is buggy and slow, but there's such a big mod community specifically for that phone it ends up being a viable and cheap alternative to the brand new ones out there.
my buddy has the touch pro, i really, really liked that phone.

lol yes I am aware of the community. XDA devs rocks. I have a WM6.5 rom on my Touch Pro2 I just got on the 12th. Flashed it like 10 times already. lol

dude, yes. i used to go to modaco but that place sucks balls compared to xda-dev. i saw a few of those updates for WM6.5- they look really nice. i see they got rid of the "beehive" gui format also

Nope, it is still there. The "honeycomb" is just not in the visual design anymore, but the actual icon placement is still in the exact same configuration.
And yeah, XDA is easily the best resource for everything HTC. I have seen a few other HTC communities, but they are horrible compared to XDA. Do you post on XDA or just use it as a resource?

ok, so i hadn't paid my phone bill in like, two months, so my phone got disconnected. well i was in the ghetto today (the reason why is besides the point) and i left my phone in my car to walk into a gas station to ask if they had a payphone. i come out and some ing nig stole my . within 2 minutes. i usually would NEVER leave my phone in my car but it was disconnected and i didn't have a use for it, so i got complacent..
anyways, now i need a new phone. i go through t-mobile. i really like windows mobile- i like the software, the customizability, the interface, etc. but i've also seen some pretty cool with the android os. pretty much what i need is a phone that can easily be unlocked and reflashed with a custom ROM. i don't like flip/slider/etc phones (i prefer the typical, slim "chocolate bar" design) and i like QWERTY keyboards. suggestions would be greatly appreciated. ben?
also does anyone know if phone insurance covers theft?
edit: so far i'm liking what i see with the HTC Touch Pro 2 (winmo), HTC HD2 (that one is probably expensive though) and the HTC Magic (android)
