| Besides, those used to Google might be ok with it, but how many ordinary people would be satisfied with a phone in constant beta stage. |

Considering, by the time a Google product is in "beta" stage it is pretty much final, I don't think it would matter. |

TP2 was $50 via wmdeals....
As for hacking, you have to root it first. Root = highest administrative user in Linux. Rooting basically gives you admin privileges.
Oh and remember, BT is still buggered. So nothing more than just handsfree devices till 2.0.

You aren't missing much till 2.0 is on every Android-based device. Avoid it till that is the case, imho. |

i am thinking of getting the motorola droid phone for my brother as an early christmas present, and i have heard nothing but good reviews about it. Is it worth getting now or should I wait for something better, that runs android, to come out? |

Well, I am thoroughly impressed and like the Droid a lot (a friend got it opening day), but I am VERY skeptical. Motorola has HORRIBLE quality issues for like 5 years now. Phones just taking a 4-6 months after purchase. |

That was the only issue that worried me upon purchasing mine however I read a review that eased that for me. Not sure why a review should do that but oh well. I'm still working out the kinks and the os has had a minor issue recognizing taps to the screen after returning from unlock. It only lasts a moment but has created a minor annoyance. Otherwise many apps are solid and I'm sure there is a lot I have yet to find out. Snesoid is solid, having snes anywhere is quite win. |
