Is there anyone out there who actually likes ambiguous boundaries sometimes? |
No, I like everything in its right place: Acquaintances in the left column, friends in the middle, and lovers in the right column. I also don't like when the rice touches the peas :p |

Yeah, but after the pining romanticist gets over his / her little feelings, a friendship can grow.
Thread not over! ;) |
Seriously. Everyone is NOT a blithering idiot. |

How so?
I really think of the girls I date as a kind of friend with benefits, in which one of the benefits is "exclusivity" :p |
I guess I just sort them into one or the other as soon as I meet them. |

I mean, don't you know anything about the subtleties of non-verbal communication?? |
:stongue:
Are you serious? 99% of us don't know what non-verbal communication is, let alone understand the nuances of it. That's why it makes me laugh when you say you've made your intentions around your male friends "perfectly clear". What's perfectly clear in the mind of a female is...well, pretty ing ambiguous to us stone-age primates looking for sex. |

Yeah, except I'm not a ing moron. My friendships with my guy friends speak for themselves, really.

And that's exactly why I'm very conscious of my own non-verbal cues...because everyone ELSE tends to be ing stupid. People may not be conscious of it, but they do pick up on stuff like that. |

Sadly, this is quite true. We just don't ing get it. Women are too subtle in most cases and then they wonder why the guy loses interest. |

| All of the girls I'm attracted to I tell. If not then why? There is nothing to lose. If they don't like you they will just let you know and if they're mature enough to have as a friend in the first place it won't really be a big deal. If not... kill the bitch! |

I think you guys are missing the point of what I mean by non-verbal communication. I'm talking about things like..the way I dress, how I sit, even the kind of eye contact I make. You're telling me you wouldn't notice the difference if I, say, came over to your place in jeans and a t-shirt and then lazed around like a sloth on your couch while we watched tv; as opposed to me coming over in a little skirt and sitting across from you with my legs parted just enough for you to catch a glimpse of my panties while we watched tv?
If you can't tell the difference, then you, my friends, are the idiots.
edit: However, I do agree that women tend to not be verbal or straightforward enough about..well, a lot of things, lol. And that's one more reason why I hang out with dudes! |

Actually, I became quite good at that in my early twenties :p
A funny thing about it, Jenny, is that no matter how you dress/sit, it's really the eye contact that gets me. By the way a girl looks at me, I can be almost sure whether or not she's into me. Although, (un)fortunately, it doesn't really make that much of a difference for me now, does it? :D |

See, even women hate hanging out with other women. |

| Pretty much, man. Don't mistake any of my posts as defending women at all. Just defending myself, lol. |
