Well said!

Although, if one particular girl were involved... I would get uneasy. Not because I don't trust HIM... but because she is known to get a little out of hand and ignore boundaries. I have no doubt he would stop an escalating situation - however, no one really WANTS their S.O. to be put in that kind of situation.

I completely agree. When guys get way too feely with my girlfriend, it's like the only scenario I can think of that I become really livid over the thought of. Within just the past few weeks, some married guy we know hugged her and got all gropey with her, wouldn't let her go. And THEN some guy she was showing a room to (she is a sales director) totally tried to get down with her right then and there. Of course, he is the regional head of some Swingers club... and she did promptly knee him right in the groin, but still!

I'll agree with this as well. Sometimes I get uneasy because of this, not because I have any doubt in my mind that my s/o is going to do anything. Though, this is often used as a crutch and excuse by many to be insecure.

This, I agree with. However, you can usually differentiate between those that use it as a crutch and those who do not. Those who use it as a crutch follow "I'm going out with so and so" with "What?! Where?! For how long? When are you going to be back?" and also proceed to call the cell phone 38403843368404120 times and freak out on the phone to all of their friends.

lol, yeah. In my own personal experience, though, it is possible to be subtle about it and still feel insecure (I've been that person). Usually, there is a reason for it with these people, and it should act as a huge red flag.

Has anyone here found that you're better at making friends with the opposite sex than with your own? For the past five years or so that's been the case for me. Not sure why...

Of course I've seen a number of guys here say that men either can't really or shouldn't be friends with women outside the context of looking for sex. But I say that's a load of crap.

What about you?

I've always had way more girl-friends than guy-friends, but I'm probably a male lesbian :D

Even before I entered a serious relationship, I can't say I was attracted to more than 10~15% of my friends.

Guys, would you get uneasy if your girlfriend went out with a group of guys? Or with just one other guy?

Not really. I've been out with girls even after I started dating, but I've never done anything that could make my fiancée worried. Hell, I even made a trip to another state with a group of friends, got drunk, and all I could babble about was how great I thought my sweetheart is :p

One theorem to rule them all

Ladder Theory
Renzo
Generally speaking, platonic relationships between a man a woman do not exist. They might at first, but eventually one grows feelings for the other. It's natural. We're human beings. And when this happens, of course, the friendship is no longer the same. The advice is never the same. It's skewed and no longer pure.

That's why it's best to have girl friends who you once in a while. I know I do. Cut right through the bull. I care about them, but I care a lot more when my penis is in their mouth.
