Frigging great idea. I will try and find a list of councillors and perhaps draft a letter that we can all slightly change and send - in fact, Jayx1 should do thi - Jay? |

I think we could easily reach thousands of people... We could have a FB page created so we can try and reach the EDM scene, as well as people who were affected by Wakestock (which I think is a total blow to the city), Virgin fest, harbor front events, etc...
Include the article Smuncky posted, a list of councillors and a draft letter. |

It's not necessarily about 'loud music' it's about people wanting to enjoy a cultural event
Take Wakestock for an example blending music, sports, and lifestyles.
It brought world class wakeboarders to the city.
It involved the community, family, the young and the old.
People from all over Canada came for wakestock, filling the hotels and restaurants.. (Over 35 000 people attend)
It show cased toronto's island and the city itself.
It exposed people to wakeboarding, bmx, skateboarding, etc...
It brought in decent headliners and provided a music experience both at the events and in the clubs (afterparties)
Although I think it was the best when it was in Wasaga, Wakestock was an event the put Toronto on the map. It was a very positive event for our city. And the fact that it was ruined because it was loud for 200 people during the DAY TIME is sad. :( |

| It's not specifically about boat cruises or the scene, it's about live music outside in the summer in general. The city is clamping down too hard. People work too hard, and have been couped up in their houses for too long during the winter to have a small vested interest ruin the fun for an entire city. |

iiiiiiii dunno about that Rachel - if jayx1 heads it up, it is going to be full of "liberal" "left-wing" "socialists!!" and will likely get promptly chucked upon arrival
it would probably be best if the verbiage comes almost entirely from people who are not normally political activists |

I was in the mall sub when the mall first opened. We were building a store there and when we were done, the boss put us up in the hotel for the weekend. We went in the sub and also spent hours in the indoor water park. |
