Yes, but going out of your way to point out your own faults to others (which are complete subjections anyways) comes off as just as arrogant as saying you're the . It's almost as though people say those sorts of things with the express intention of being corrected or otherwise complimented. Does that make sense?
Humility is just really, really worthless. At least pride will keep you going when there's nothing else left. |

It does make sense, and its a habit I really wish to break. Its just a natural response stemming from a mix of Janteloven and the fear I'll come off as that self-absorbed bitch I was in 2006.

During my constant party/coke whore days I had an outrageous ego. I lived with three drag queens, I was pulling down a lot of money from my dealing on top of my other job and always dressed in the best. People would stop and stare, compliments coming constantly. Anytime I got a compliment I'd just sigh, give a small smile and say "I know...", but no one ever seemed offended by it, if anything they acted more impressed and wanted to be seen with me during the night.

Sad thing is, I was so going to whore myself out to a friend-who-had-moved-down-there's roommate. I wanted to him soooo badly but chickened out at the last minute. :wtf:
