When I lived in Houston, my subdivision was about 75 miles from the coast. We had one hurricane that was supposed to hit the city, and about 80% of my subdivision evacuated to escape it. I have no idea what any of them thought was going to happen that they needed to evacuate to get away from, but I have to say it was one of the most retarded things I have ever seen in my entire life, which is saying something. |
