Because if it's biologically TRUE that someone 18 or younger doesn't have all of their brain developed, then yes it does mean that they aren't as "mature" as someone older than them. |

Hmm... that's true, Jay, but even if you "mature" financially, that doesn't mean you've "matured" in life in general. Not to mention the fact that not everyone is financially prudent. |

legal age is 14 plus here in canada btw

I think a minor is anyone who's not legal so if 14 is the age of legal consent or the age when a person is deemed responsible that means a 14 year old is no longer a minor, it would seem.
A 40 year old man can sleep with a 14 year old in your country, Karim and not get in trouble?
Or is 14 "legal" if the 14 year old is with someone of comparable age? |

They changed it as of late.
Before it was 14 was the age of consent, 14 and 90 didnt matter. Now its 12 within 2 years of age difference (if I am not mistaken) and now its 16+ with any older age.
Age of consent in the US is pretty much 16 with a 60 month difference. Some states have a 16 hard limit.
In Canada if you are a male homosexual the age of consent is 18. Female homosexuals its the same age as anyone else. Dirty Canaadians. |
