for a group of ppl who are connected in their love for trance.... this is pretty sad. flaming on the basis of what country you're from? geez.

but anyways, i support what america's doing, because i live here. but to tell you the truth, the war on terrorism got old a long time ago to me, personally. i dont read the news daily anymore or anything.

i just dont care what happens, just as long something doesnt happen to us again.

at the cost of innocents? at the cost of dissent towards america? man, if any other country gets attacked, would they be asking for the america's help? look at israel...

but global policy can be a snatch. you try to satisfy everyone, but someone always gets hurt. so, the best way to do it is to weigh the best benefit from your actions.

that's just tiesto14, resorting to that, arguing for the sake of argument. People like him give your country a bad name actually. His last post is a prime example. That's why we sew a flag on our backpack when travelling abroad. So we don't get mistakened for an American. We get treated with more respect. Now, I'm not ragging on Americans as people, and I never have. Its just the truth, Americans get stereotyped in places like Europe, and unfortunately its a bad one, and these stereotypes come from the arrogance displayed by tiesto14 in his previous post. But that is BEYOND the scope of this thread.

It's sad that it gets pushed to the back page of the news. What ever happened to Slobodan Milosovic? Who cares, that was years ago. What's Saddam doing? I bet the majority of people, including me, don't know, and those who say they do are usually talking out of their ass, except for a select few of course. Its the media failing to report on whatever doesn't sell anymore.

if so, either way, i don't think i have to be careful about forming an opinion that most people respect(not like or love) the U.S.

china, india, u.s., indonesia, brazil, and russia are the 6 most populated countries in the world. that would include nearly half of the world's poplulation. i think it would be fair to say most people respect the u.s.

Actually China makes up half of the world's population, and since the US and China have a less than harmonious relationship (ie they hate each other) I guess that adds a lot of weight to my point.

I would say that more than half of the world's population does not respect the US as a nation.

Interesting to see that overnight this has sprung to 11 pages. I can't be arsed to trawl through the usual left vs right rhetoric, so can everyone please forgive me if I respond without reading vast swathes of personal insults and "BIG" opinions? Cheers.

HAHAHHAHAHAHAH......ya ok...i FINALLY bash another country after ALL the times Canadians and Europeans have and i am the bad guy...so then i would imagine that since i am a dick for bashing Canada (with all FACTS mind you) then EVERY other TA that bashes America is just as much of a dick as me...right?....

really?...lets see what i posted:
i said this
"Canadians never stood up for anything they beleive in. Any war that they have gotten into is because of them being allies with another country who actually has balls."

um thats the truth..whats wrong with the truth...does i bother u that u live in a country that cant stand alone?...dont be mad at me for pointing out the facts...

i also said this:
"you Canadians seem to think you're doing a real favor to the US by being allies. Well, I'm sure we all appreciate the thought (it's really kind of cute to actually think it matters to us), but I just don't see how your mounties and whatever other military you have, if any, could help against enemies that have evolved past use of horses for transportation. So, if you'll excuse me, I'll go back to having an actual life in an actual country, and I'll leave you Canadians to your hockey, bacon, and persecuting Quebec, the only providence with enough sense to want out of Canada."

whats wrong with that?...do u HONESTLY beleive that without your help we would not be able to fight this war?..GET REAL...and sorry your mounties ride horses...but its true

and do u guys not play hockey? do u guys not love bacon? and is Quebec not trying to be on its own?...well thats all true

so whats your point...those arent stereotypes...those are Canadian facts....

can somebody tell me why people hate g.bush???

and be specific...
don't say because of his foreign policies...that includes tons of stuff

and don't say because he f-ups his speeches, he doesn't do that very often if you think about how many speeches he really has to give.

:D

how do you people want the u.s. to respond??? just let it go??? c'mon, if something this big happened in your country, you would retaliate too. and if you say "well, retaliation is ok to a certain point." so when do you say when??? i mean there will always be some people out there that will critisize your length in a war even if it was bombing for just one day. i'm confused to as how you guys want the u.s. act?

When do you say when? I say when right now. Thats the whole point of the thread is it not?

Like I said, I don't know what the solution is. If I did, I'd be a politician. Alot of the posts have deviated from the original thread topic. The topic of this thread is: Enough is Enough. You've retaliated, and most of us want the bombing to stop. Is Bush going to continue until there is no more Afghanistan? How much more bombing will go on before it stops? You want to punish the Taliban for hiding Osama Bin-Laden, fine. You've done that, and you've left the country in shambles. People think its time to help rebuild, enough is enough.

Of course there are terrorists in the US, you just don't know where they are. Same in Afghanistan. Like with like...

ok, let's say we quit right now and pack up...

what if in the next year the terroist attacks again but they attack again. and another 9/11 happens again...

don't you think the u.s. has a right to be concerned in this scenerio. i hope the u.s. stays as long as they need to stay.

What's the whole "bashing" talk?

If I criticise the American justice system am I bashing "America"?
Or am I bashing the American justice system?

If I criticize the American government's policy in the middle east am I bashing America?
Or am I bashing the American government's decisions?

I think some of you people are just looking for a fight. If ANYTHING to do with America is criticised you say I am bashing America as a country? Are you looking for any excuse to get worked up?

It's not that hard to understand, really...

we have not left Afghanistan in shambles...where do u get your information from?...we have helped establish a government, schools and housing...Afghanistan is so much better off after this war then before...u dont believe it...ok well NOW the kids get to go to school, NOW the women dont have their clitoris removed by the Taliban so they cant feel desire for another man, NOW woman can speak freeley, NOW they have a government that is not corrupt and murderers, NOW children can learn and become something...so get off your high horse...

YOU say its enough bombing?...well your opinion on the situation has no meaning unless u lost loved ones that day, or you live in America, or you where affected by the attacks...

WARS have been fought for millions of years....and for all that time there are people like yourself who whine saying "enough is enough" meanwhile the wars have no bearing on your life..
