| I shudder to think what would be said if the Sept. 11th tradegy happened to Canada. I just wonder... Would you still have the same thoughts? Maybe The Netherlands? I do agree with Tiesto14 on this one. We were attcked first what are we supposed to do? This is war not sleep away camp, people die. It's unfortunate but it happens. I honestly don't know what other solution there is to what happened. Let it go? Not retaliate? c'mon if this happened anywhere else in the world it would be a different story. Because the cool thing is to bash America, we are the devils right? That's bull. We are aiding their people the best we can. I guarantee that's more than the other 99% of countries would do if they were in the same situation. |

| The americans on this board obviously only tune into the manipulated information that is spewed out from CNN. You people constantly defend your arguments by restating the devastation on september 11th where only 2600 people. Although i do not agree on what happened to those inocent people...the american government has gotten a minute taste at what they have cuased around the world. What you Americans should analyze is "why do so many people hate America"... why do people choose to constantly criticize your country.... sure you have helped many nations around the world.. but you have done more damage than good for your economic benefit. Please do not come on this board excreting your hospitable bull and take a look at the real damage your government has caused throughout the last decade... this includes the DEATHS CAUSED BY YOUR GREED RIDDEN FOREIGN POLICIES! |

I don't think the Americans shouldn't be there, I think they should have got off their arses 5 years ago instead of waiting until they had no other choice. It was the same in World War Two, the same in the Gulf, stay out of the as long as possible until they are forced to do something, and then go on about the heroics of doing what's they had to. Mind you they're not the only ones.
I do however despise the way these wars are waged. Remember Kosovo anyone? Several hundred thousand people are raped, tortured and killed while the alliance refused to commit any ground troops to the conflict.
And then Afghanistan, where once again it was the bombers, but where are the soldiers? They're Northern alliance squaddies, sent to die in a blaze of glory for which the alliance took credit. Many dead on both sides, and a new era of tension which will be difficult to contain.
In Kosovo, the US air contingent was the biggest by far, the same in Afghanistan. Yet the ground troops committed afterwards to pick up the pieces and do a little bit of nation-building were mostly foreign. Both times the largest contingent was British, with an army a tenth of the size and vastly ill-equipped.
The US is not the sole bearer of responsibility, but it must stop shirking it's peacekeeping responsibilies. I think some of the so called 'realists' need to get real and accept that the US, like the rest of the alliance, needs to get on the ground and sort the problem out first-hand before we have another disaster like Kosovo. You can't exact a 'regime change' from the air. Some Western troops will have to die if we are to get anywhere.
This is war and in war soldiers die. |

not enough terrorists have died....and if i am not mistaken Canada is also fighting this war with us...so jump on their case about killing innocent victoms aswell....oh i got Canada is perfect right? |

ONLY 2600....should there have been more for us to be upset? would it of been ok if there was 4000 who died...would we then be able to do soemthing about it without people jumping on our asses?

LOL....not even going to respond to that ...get some facts, post them then we will talk...then maybe i will go get all the dirt on Canada for which their is plenty...so either get some FACTS with EVIDENCE or dont talk...and yes i know u can get some cus we have dirt..but so does Canada.... |

But what i wanna no, is when anyone starts a thread on september 11th, u dont hesitate to speak ur mind and say what ******s the taliban are. But... when JohnSmith starts a thread, and this time its the other way round, and its the afghanistan civilians are getting killed, all u can say is "its war PEOPLE DIE." I think ur being a bit of a hypocrite, and to me it looks like u are someone who has nothing better to do than attack anyone that isnt american. :( |

oh, god, here we go again american bashing. if so many people hate america, then why is this country so diverse. the only true americans still left are the natives who make up less than 1% of our poplulation. that means the rest are foreigners. people from every country still try to flock over here...why, i don't think because "so many people hate america" i think for the most part that there are small groups that hate the u.s. but that's with everything. when you say "people," who do you really mean, you and your groupies, or are you talking about the vast majority of civilization because most people respect the u.s. |
