get a diamond broker and do it properly.

or get her a Cartier you can afford, should do the trick.
Boomer187
that looks kinda tiny, do you have a small wiener?
yukii
dude, you do these things once in your life, so make it memorable for both of you. ;) as the ring, it's not exactly my taste, but if you know your gf well enough then she should like it.

i'm personally not a jewelry snob and the ring part of being married isn't really important to me in terms of what kind of diamond is it, where he got it from or even if it's a real diamond. i just dont give a . but i DO like fashion and cool rings and stuff...just for the looks, not for how much money i spent on it.

so really, my point is that it depends on your girlfriend/soon-to-be fiance'. does she really care about jewelry and showing all her girlfriends a big fat diamond? is she up to par at least somewhat with fashion?

that ring is a little outdated in style imo. i personally dont like it. there are too many side stones that take away from the diamond itself. if you're looking for a deal and can't afford a 3+ carat diamond and want it to be nice, then go with a very skinny band and a solitare stone, that way the diamond has the lead role.

or get her a crystal ring. i personally love crystal and my bf knows it's acceptable to me for an engagement ring because i know we're not ballers, yet i like a big fat rock when it comes to rings. it just doesn't have to be a diamond, i dont care.

here's an example of a crystal ring that i would dig. it's $900 on ebay .

lol if your only spending 77 pounds on the ring i wonder how your actually wedding is going to be.. Vegas style?

thats like half the amount you would pay for a nintendo when it came out.

"MOMMY BUY ME A NINTENDO"

You should at least be spending a couple of G's on an engagement ring.
Slylee
why should he?

serious answer please.

lol you'll be lucky if you get a rock from the garden that he found while doing his landscaping.

you're totally selling your self short here. If you're the person he wants to sepnd the rest of his life with im sure he could scrounge up some money, cut back on the cigarettes, the strippers or the 24's and buy you a decent engagement ring.

Nothing says "you're easily disposable to me" then a crystal wedding ring that i saved 1/10th of my last cheap contracting job to get you.

she is going to be wearing this ring for the rest of her life on her finger.

wouldnt it be nice if it starts to corode or the diamond (fake) cracks or something

aww hunny you're so sweet you bought me a fake diamond

its not that hard to save 3 to 5 thousand dollars these days when most people make 60 g's per year or more.
Slylee
lol it's people like you who put a price requirement on love that give marriage a bad name.

bull... any moron can take a credit card out and wax a grand or 2 on a ring that dosnt mean anything at all.

nothing says 'look at me mom, i can pay back 15 dollars a month' more than a ridiculous oversized engagement ring

Slylee
not sure how it is for the rest of the world but it's ridiculous how american women are about their engagement rings. 9/10 times they end in divorce anyway despite having a gigantic diamond ring.

buying something is easy to do. and buying something you cant afford to please the materialistic requirements of your girlfriend is plain ing stupid.
