To add to this excitement, I "may" be able to contact 89.5 Seattle dance station (worldwide station "c895worldwide") and spread this news.

1. All entries should be no longer than 7 minutes.
Good for house tunes which sometimes aren't so long, but bad news for some of those longer progressive tracks. I say, it shouldn't be longer than 9-10 minutes. But I'm assuming you want as many tracks as possible.
2. All work in progress and previews to be uploaded to the TA Album Soundcloud account (http://soundcloud.com/groups/tranceaddict-com-album). For details on uploading and requests for access and moderation rights please contact forum member 'rulzz' Please do not upload finished mixes.
How is judging going to take place? TA's get to vote on a track? A community of people? One person? Getting a soundcloud account is good though.
3. The final album will be a compilation as per the results of the poll. Please mix with this is mind.
We need some sort of legal act that prevents someone from just ripping it and selling it as their own work.
4. Closing date for entries will be Monday 25th January 2010, 10PM EST.

5. *TENTATIVE RULE* One entry per person?
I say one entry at a time. But as many entries as you want to send.
Personally I still feel that there's room for a separate up tempo and ambient album. I'll amend this post to suit feedback on this later on.
I would like to see an ambient/downtempo mix too. If you had a track in one CD, could you send tracks for the other? |

| Popular vote, probably. I don't think anyone should be allowed to decide on their own but if most people agree that a song shouldn't be on the album, it's probably for a good reason. |

lol, probably mine. So far it seems that psytrance doesn't fit with everybody elses stuff. |

i agree: most psy can go with various types of trance anyway :)
unless either the 'trance' or the 'psy' is really generic, or really weird :p |

i've got a prog breaks track that i made a few months ago that i decided to never release publicly because the sound didn't fit where i was going with my "stereotypy" alias.. i think it would work for this album though.
give me a sec to chop out a sample and think of a different alias for this style of music and i'll post it up in a few. |

"Reso_nate - Travelling Our Moon"
had to come up with a new alias and that's what i decided on. if it sucks, let me know and i'll produce something else (maybe i'll try making trance, lol). otherwise, opinions and criticism greatly appreciated. |

Yeah, I haven't had to perform that particular function before, I'm trying to figure out how to do it without royally bollixing it all up. Gimme a few minutes...
And FYI to the organizers: I completely support what you're doing, but we do not need 3 threads about it on the front page of the forum. In the future please stick to 1 thread per topic and edit the first post if necessary. |
