Anyone up for this? We did the TA compilation which sold 17 copies globally so I think we should ride that wave of suckcess and actually do a TA album.

Who's up for it? Richie can do some elevator Jazz, Dave can do Grandad house, Geoff can do some psytrance, Darek can make some Euro Schranz and I might even chip in with some polkafolktronica?

Lol, with you, I'm on the board man ;)

I think it would be cool if each track was a collab.

How about our goal ought to be doubling the sales tally? Leave a legacy an all that.
tehlord
I shall possibly be up for it.

I suggest we make it a free download.

Jesus Caleb, you want it to be a collab (bad idea - it took forever to do the last one just with people submitting tracks) and then you want to give it away from free.

Make it a $1 - we might even sell 18 copies this time around?

We'll pay you to buy our tracks.

As someone just starting out, I look at songs as promotional right now. With name recognition will come chances to make money.

As for collabing, I think: a) it would be fun and b) it could give an opportunity to learn from working with someone.

Red Herring

When you're starting out nobody cares even if you give it away. Once you're good enough you don't need to give it away any more.

Well, I agree but I don't see why to go to the trouble of putting my music up for sale when there won't be very many if any sales. But at the same time it is easy to make it downloadable on soundcloud.

Also, I didn't mean we should give the album away for free just because I personally am not looking to make money off music right now. I realize there are some people who might participate that are really good producers with a fanbase. Even still, I just figure on the whole the album might get a little more attention if it was for free download.

Sadly, very true.

Collabs would be fun but logistically, it's a nightmare. What platform? Who does what? Remotely or do we have to meet, do the sweat lodge thing, take mushrooms in the forest to bond, then play naked twister and interpret the moves as midi notes?
