this is a terrible BPM requirement for a trance album, unless everyone here is relying entirely on the VEC House pack or something

nice idea. is there a genre restriction? is ambient/chillout ok?
Fledz
I'd give this a go. Can we make ambient/chillout/downtempo?
tehlord
I would have thought that if there were a decent number of downtempo tracks included there's no reason not to include them.
TranceLover007
Yes, I agree.
MrJiveBoJingles
Why would it have to be the same BPM throughout? That would be boring.
MrJiveBoJingles
Any competent DJ can deal just fine with varying BPMs, as long as the range isn't enormous.
Fledz
There's no need to have it all relatively same BPM. Who's to say we can't have chillout, prog, house, trance and tech?
BshidoHEAT
Since this is Tranceaddict we should make this album with trance (and all of it's sub genres).

I'd love to make a track for this too. But I doubt anyone would listen lol

This was our plan - anything which sound good for you, without any restrictions. I think this would be first of the kind release ever done by such a big group of people.

That's where the whole excitement is.

Stay cool guys.

lol everybody talking about 5 or 7 min tracks. I'm thinking of doing about 8-10 minutes. It is psychedelic trance btw. It's not like it has to fit on a CD anyway, it should be purely digital. I might post a sample of what I'm doing on sunday night/monday afternoon because I'm not going to be at my comp this weekend.

depends really, will it be mixed or not?

Because of the variety of styles the people here produce, I think a mixed album is out of the question. It would be weird to do a mix of like prog trance to breaks to ambient to psy.
MrJiveBoJingles
I think it should be unmixed. Let each track stand on its own.
