Maybe you can save your track for another album.

I consider this to be a trial run, and a succesful one at that so far. Plenty if interest and a load of decent tracks submitted. I really don't know what other information you needed that hasn't already been supplied?

Anyway

I'm hoping that some final decisions on hosting are made this week.

This is updated track list for our TA Album location: TA ALBUM

Trance/House/Progressive/Psy:

1) Anakratis - The Theory
2) DariusX - Unite Us
3) BluffMunkey - Snowblind
4) Sako487 - Chordplay
5) Rakis - High Priest
6) NsH - It's in The Stars
7) Sako487 - Rainy sunrise
8) Superistic - Plain Sailing
9) NDi - Time Traveler
10) Ultrastellar - Mezmoroid
11) OrgaNik - Instant Insomnia
12) Hyperstellar - Adoration
13) Alan Marcero - Take Me Home
14) Tim Besamusca - Terra Incognita

Chillout/Down Tempo:

1) Owen F - A Glow From Far Away
2) Lay - Aurora

From here I have few questions to all of you/us guys (not only BluffMunkey/Geoff):

1) one CD with mix Trance and Chillout or two separate CD?
2) where we are going to host our tracks?
3) any idea for final prod mix (who/where)?

Any suggestions are more than welcome guys.

Cheers

Agreed

I think the two cjillout tracks will just get lost if they're bundled with the rest of the album so a separate on is definately best.

So far we have two TA members willing to host and we can also setup a proper final soundcloud, soundclick and maybe Myspace page too.

There's plenty of material for an up-tempo album and a chillout one would have another deadline set. There are a few people who have expressed an interest in putting some ambient stuff in at a later date.

So there will be enough for a second album at that time.

I second the motion for a separate ambient album! With a bit more time I'll have something decent to contribute. My track for the uptempo album sorta fell by the wayside, lost a lot of work in a computer crash and couldn't get the track back off the ground in time but it sounds like there will be another chance later so that's good to hear. Some really great tracks on this first list, well done crew :)

i also think the chillout/ambient stuff deserves a 2nd album as well
tehlord
Done deal then I think.

I'll try and get the separate soundcloud page setup up for the chillout album asap and announce, or suggest a deadline for that too.

I may even attempt a chillout track meself ;)

Can chillout be 130bpm+ ?

Go oooon!! Ambient is tons of fun -- less restrictive and you learn a LOT too.

Sure, it can be 140bpm even, so long as you don't have a kickdrum on every 4th haha :tongue2

:D :stongue:

I'd love to do a chillout track tbh.

Unfortunately, I obviously never got around to completing my uptempo track for the TA album, but I did finish my downtempo track (Delta Breeze). However, if you guys set a later deadline, I've got another chillout tune in the works that I'd probably submit instead.

As far as hosting goes, I have more server space than I know what to do with, so I'd also be willing to host the uptempo and/or the downtempo TA album. The plan that I pay for is a premium business plan, which allows me 3 URLs, of which I'm only using one (www.cryophonik.com). So, we could create a whole new website for it, hosted under my plan, and perhaps some of the more web-techy guys here could create the website and several of us could maintain it. I know just enough HTML/CSS to create my own site, but TBH, I'm overcommitted as it is and I'm not the best web designer. Also, I know next to nothing about how to secure it. So, if someone(s) else wants to create and help administer the website, I'll help set it up and host it under my plan. If not, that's cool as well!

This is a great idea/offer Dave, thank you, we just need to wait for Swamper permission (a specially if we would like to use TA Album as name for this site). We have already contact him, so we just need to be patience.

Cheers

So for looks like we are in really good shape, we have already good idea what we gonna do with point #1 and #2 (with 3 different offers).

Now we have to concentrate on question #3 "final prod mix (who/where)?"

Any suggestion/ideas/help?

Cheers
tehlord
That's a greatly appreciated offer Dave and i'll most certainly do whatever I can to help. which may not be very much.....

My brother is a freelance web designer who's done stuff for the BBC and The Guardian so i'll get some ideas and tips from him. If I hint enough he may even chip in some time

So the track list is set for the uptempo album. High quality renders will need to be uploaded but that's a minor detail.

The permission to use the TA logo is pending.

The chillout album will have a deadline set once we sort the hosting of the first album.

Nice work chaps :)
