you can't revive something that was never alive in the first place

sounds like there are some good local things going on at PR lately. While that may not turn it into Guv, still sounds like fun. Maybe the "scene" wasn't that bad after all or people are being more proactive about publicizing events. Thanks for the posts RE:PR, Justin.

justin if you screw up your proom gig i'm going to mock you

give me a venue with decent priced drinks and good tunes, and i'd be there. problem is, no place plays really good tunes. proom has lost its vibe and frankly gets frustrating at times

where's tabu exactly in waterloo??

Was Anyone at Tabu Yesterday? Felt more like Guvernment than ever before... loved doing Lighting yesterday.
Tabu is on University Ave, the what Fubar used to be.
Can't wait for Manzone & Strong next weekend!

I think that's what KW needs.

Also, I especially like the buildup from university-philip through university-king and down to king-erb. I think that L shaped zone is gonna get big in the next few years.

I think if that zone was filled with more places to go out, it'll become one large downtown. One of the problems is that they're stretched, and it spreads the people. The reason it's 'better' to go out in Guelph is just because they have that single stretch of bars downtown on one street. KW has more potential but poorly planned out. Like I said, once it becomes more joined from campus to uptown Waterloo, it'll get crazy.

I really hope so. If you know Mikey Dato From toronto, thats who was playing. They're bringing in a rotation of DJs from toronto, so im excited to see whats be brought in with the saturday formats at Tabu.
I really wished they'd actually bring in DJs other than just Manzone & Strong from Guv. Yesterday I heard really no orginal top 40, made my night lol.

so randomly checked out tabu last night

what the hell. i forgot how much i hated top40 clubs

the venue isn't bad. separated one large room format into two smaller rooms makes sense.

but then, there was the terrible z103 wannabe top40 commercial crap. i guess you don't need skills when you're just a button clicker on a laptop playing same tunes every week.

so i went to the other room and it was same crap being played. i was like, wtf, mcguiver. so pointless having same music in two different rooms

totally felt like meat factory in there with too many dudes. though there were a lot of good looking girls

KW scene sucks

Ohh! I wanted to kill myself yesterday, thats the first time it was a top 40 club ever. fml.

The new mgmt said "as much as I love house, Play top 40" like wtf... tabu has not been a top 40 club since it opened! you cant just change

This new mgmt is gonna drag something that was the best in KW...down to ground and close it

2 clubs, one roof, 2 sounds is normally supposed to mean top 40 in 140, house in tabu... ing retarded. Felt like the longest night of my life there, EVER.
