Post events a month before they happen in the events section of TOTA to get us interested with a flyer and cover prices etc.

You have to understand some of us have seen a lot of people try the same thing over the last 15 years in Waterloo, Kitchener and Cambridge and most places don't make it to 1 year anniversarys. But From the sounds of it you have good intentions keep it up. |

I regret not going to Tabu this past Saturday night. A few friends and I had planned on going to Guv early in the month when Contact was announced. So, I drive to Orangeville to meetup and pre-party, and one of my friends had hurt her ankle recently and couldn't go so the others decided to just stay in and have a house party.
I'll get to Tabu at some point, and soon, I hope. |

If the past is any indication of the future then the answer is obviously no...it can't and it won't support such a night.
This has nothing to do with how good or bad Tabu is. Would your club consider holding an EDM night every friday or saturday with no Top 40 for the next two years....regardless of how well it does? |

Ignore the negativity. Coming from someone who has some experience trying to get the scene rolling in the area, you're doing a good job.I know what you're working with in terms of demographics and you've done better than most ventures in the past 5-6 years (as long as ive been involved in the tri cities scene)
Like DJ-Sketchbag said, post up info as soon as you can on the TA event listings. Guestlist, ticket prices etc.Id love to make it down for some events.

what have I said that is negative about Tabu???? All I have suggested is that an EDM scene in KW doesn't exist and it never will. Tabu is doing exactly what it needs to do to make money....playing Top 40 music with some EDM mixed in....nothing wrong with that.
I asked two simple questions and I see no harm in that. I am curious if they would consider having a dedicated EDM night and if it would work. Personally, I don't think they would dedicate a night to that simply because it will not work.
I am all for trying to create an EDM scene in KW but from what I've seen over the past 15 years it will not work and it cannot work. One off events will work but a dedicated night will not. |

| the club does look cool.....it's definitely better looking then pretty much any other club in KW. |
