| Only seen 4 episodes so far, and I understand the need for characterisation. But its boring the out of me. |

The last couple episodes were boring but it picks back up at 5. |

| I haven't watched the most recent ep yet, but so far I've found it pretty boring. Not a great way to illustrate the already overshadowed soldiers of the Pacific theater. |

| Predictably boring and dull. Last episode was ok, but not enough to warrant critical acclaim. |

| I'm still watching it but, man, I'm bored. Episode five had its moments but lacked cohesion. That seems to be the differentiation between this and Band of Brothers. BoB was coherent while The Pacific just asks you to take the long ing walks barely connecting any of the dots on the path you're supposed to follow. |

korea and china are pretty racist as well. well, i know koreans don't like china. or japan. or black people. americans are okay, sometimes.
we rock. :p |
Don't be absurd. Koreans don't like the Japanese because of WWII atrocities in the same way Jewish people don't like Nazi Germans. That is different from racism or superiority complex.
Chinese people are far from being racists. They relish foreigners and adore all things different from them. They are more open-minded and less nationalistic than Koreans, Japanese, or Americans. What you've described are American stereotypes. |

Your assertion has some anachronistic tendencies buried in a bit of a tortured, if not false, analogy. |

It's called credibility and you seem to be doing just fine, without it. |
