And Lira, I agree with you in principle, but I think it's clear to both of us that we disagree with its application to yesterday's events. I think your well-intentioned thoughts are actually hurting the situation by making the ill-intentioned people believe that their senseless acts had some positive meaning. And my suspicion is that there are a LOT of those, melly mell being one of them, with her stupid "dirka dirka" post on the facebook thread then bragging about it here. that 's not cool. but she's a jew so it's understandable.

I agree with you that there may be some clueless critics jumping on the bandwagon, but that's something we can't really avoid, can we?
It's just like religion, actually. Most people that follow a religion, I like to believe, truly believe it is a way to become a better person, and do their utmost to follow what they think is right. However, it's not unusual to see a religion hijacked by a bunch of lunatics that use the teachings on their favour (or just to spill hatred).
Is there a way to avoid it?
