When you see Sasha, there is no way you can omit that seminal Ableton mix from the hype material. That is the thing with roll calls, you are not trying to be reasonable and balanced, especially when the whole point is to market and sell an event to within an inch of its existence! |

My review pretty much echo's everyone else's. Cool club, decent sound. Way too packed at first.
Music started off great but really lost me after the 80's set of tracks one after another. Nothing cool came of that part and I really expected him to do something more interesting.
Mixing was sketchy to non-existent at times - made the set feel choppy. Although hearing a train-wreck when someone is using vinyl is a little easier to accept.
Coat check running out of "room" or hangers? Really? Its November. If someone showed up WITHOUT a coat they should have been turned away at the door for being an idiot.
Running out of coat check spaces is about as dumb as running out food at a wedding. You already know how many people are coming. Failing here is not an option.
If you want to sell tickets at the door to a sold out event, only guarantee tickets up to a certain time and potentially charge more for a later guarantee.
Anyhow lots of friends made up for any other disappointing moments.
BTW when that many people come out that love music that much, it usually seems easy to make the place go "off" Ricardo - you failed this time, but Ill be back again. |
