Yea prices are high as .
There better be a good lineup this year. I have enjoyed every year in the past due to friends and renegade stages. If the already overinflated price goes up there better be a reason, namely expensive acts. These guys make such ridiculous sums of money on every one of these as their costs are way below the average costs of running festivals of that size.
Just sayin. |

wtf, $250? It better be the best damn line up for a festival on the planet...actually i dont even care. I spent most of my time at the Bound by Sound renegade stage in 08, so the lineup is of little concern to me.
Like Vanos said the cost can easily reach $1000 when all is said and done. If I knew the lineup in advanced, the location (08 was amazing), and if renegade stages will be allowed again I would consider going. |

Its just never been this high, I got my early birds for 75 dollars or so the last wemf. All in all crossing my fingers for a worthy lineup that can compete with other festivals asking for this amount of $$ ;) |

Advance tickets go on sale TODAY at 11am online at: http://www.wantickets.com/wemf for $150 + service charge. This is a 3-Day ticket, unlimited in's and out's, BYOB and includes camping.
As a point of reference, Shambala in BC has their EARLY BIRD tickets on sale now for $260. They haven't released their lineup either. |

OS are you ing insane?
DEMF, Timewarp, Trance Energy, Sensation are ALL cheaper prices, almost half, even a fraction of this cost!!! If you think we are going to pay $500 for 2 tickets you're ing insane! We might as well spend another $500 and go to ing Europe for the weekend! And $500 is just for the tickets. Imagine all the gas, food and other expenses on top of that!
Doesn't matter who you bring to this party, it's NOT WORTH IT!!!. Not even close!!
Any DJ you bring to your mainstage I can see sometime throughout the year! I would rather spend $30 here and there to see these artists at different times than to fork out all that cash to see them all at once.
My advice to everyone, make the 3 hour drive to Detroit and go to DEMF for 3 days and pay $50/ticket!

You know this for a fact? You know the costs of running a festival of this size? 'Cause I know for a fact that every WEMF actually LOST money because it was undervalued. WEMF was consistently 50% cheaper then any other event of it's kind, yet all the costs where the same, and the DJ's were bigger, therefore more expensive.
At this current, and more realistic price level, WEMF is still cheaper then any other festival of it's kind.
Comparing it again to Shambala, the people that run Shambala OWN their land and have all year to set up. WEMF rents their land and has less then a week to set up. Shambala tickets are currently $260. |
