| So far a load of hipster music, breaks/dnb, electro/prog and cheese and not a single serious techno/techhouse dj... the only thing missing is the rock stage with a bunch of orc/goblin resembling attendees. So far not even worth $50, even though I would pay $20 too see mark eg again, that guy is entertaining |

phase 1 lineup is a complete disapppointment! aside from christopher lawrence and mark EG...id love to know where the $150+ ticket money has gone to. thankfully i havent bought one yet. WEMF better be holding out some serious heavy hitters for the phase 2 announcement because my desire to return to WEMF has seriously dwindled since this lineup announcement. |

+1
Not impressed at all. They will have to pull out all the stops for phase 2 for me to even consider going now. Its a shame because I had such a good time at the 3rd annual final wemf lol |

We were wondering the same thing so we wrote ADAM K under it. Same with Noisia.

This lineup so far is huge , maybe not for some people here but there are alot of big names and plenty more to come from all genres !
I'm pretty excited to see Mark EG, Noisia , Friction and Stanton Warriors myself !
There aren't many festivals that are byob and some don't have camping or you have to pay extra for camping !
Can't wait for phase 2 ! |

This is just the start.
There is a massive followup of headliners TBA in phase 2. We just are not allowed to announce any of those names now but dont worry, they are big from FOUR-FOUR to Drum & Bass.

ps - how much would you spend at the bar? this party is BYOB!!! (and we dont last call) |
I don't drink anymore, I understand that its not the full line up, i've been to wemf's 6-12 and this doesn't seem anymore intising then WEMFs in the past but the cost is triple you could geat early birds for $60 - $80 with gate tickets being 100-150. This just does not seem any differnt from before besides the price.
plus some notes:

Has Destiny been doing much Dubstep?

Nope, only at their most recent Halloween party did they have any dubstep, otherwise its all DnB/jungle.
WEMF.com
"Expect bigger and better talent from even more electronic genres, a much bigger emphasis on art and culture and greater community involvement. Like a phoenix from the ashes, the new WEMF emerges to be much more than it was before but without forgetting from whence it came."
Nor bigger or better .....Sadly i was gonna make this my B-Day party but i rarther spend the the money and in toronto on a boat or patio then pay to see Dj's who have been at every WEMF |

Its interesting to see the differences in opinion on the various sites. Check the feedback on TJ and its over the moon! While I get the TA response so far - understand we haven't been able to release a number of the big names on the 4-4 stage yet. We love Christopher, Adam, Sydney and Mark but there is much more coming. The 4-4 stage is more of a focus for phase 2 and I guarantee there are some BIG names coming. That said - we have some of the most in-demand artists on the festival circuit this summer... Ask any promoter in North America who they would want this year and Rusko will be in their top 3 - guaranteed. Luckily we got him!
Regardless I know that TA's are not always the biggest fans of Dubstep and D&B so hold tight for phase 2 where you will see a number of significant additions to the 4-4 genres.
