I don't understand the logic behind this. Isn't it a person's responsibility to NOT have kids if they feel raising children isn't right for them? Isn't it people's responsibility to recognize when we have way too many children and not enough people to take care of them, and therefore choose not to have children? Isn't it our responsibility as a species to take care of the our own kind when there is no one else capable?

I don't believe that we should have a choice. I'm talking basic animal instincts (for Rusty)...
We are no more than any other animal in this world for our very basic purpose of life...
Difference between us and them is that if they are over populated, nature kills them off. We are able to protect our young better is all...
Maybe that's what is happening with all of these natural disasters...
Mother nature thinning the herd??
Of course, this is all just my opinion... |

Maybe back then, but not now. I can guarantee it. |
Yea, I guess that would have been 1993/94 ish.
They put me into counseling after that - it was more like a classroom where multiple children would go and play and they would observe you. Anyway, we were sitting at a table eating our snacks or something, and some kid decided to crawl under the table. Being naturally curious, I looked under the table to see what the kid was doing. Their interpretation of this? I must have been molested or something at some point. They took me into questioning and then I refused to go back after that.
WTF?! Isn't it natural instinct to look under a table when there is someone crawling under it near your feet? Read into things much.
My experience with Ontario's Children's Aid was not positive, so I guess I have a negative bias toward them. |

Ma petite and I have been talking about adopting a child in the future and it got me thinking: who here was raised by adoptive parents? |
Not here anymore, but our mutual friend was adopted and i think we can agree she turned out rather well :) |

So you think all people who are capable of reproducing should be forced to?
That is the most absurd thing I have ever heard.
If we hadn't become advanced as a species, Darwinism would have taken care of us. Because of health care etc., Darwinism doesn't affect humans the way it should and far too many people end up surviving when they would otherwise have died and been unable to populate. Since that natural "thinning the herd" mechanism no longer works properly, we need to step in and do it ourselves. |

I am guessing that your interpretation of "thinning the herd" and stepping in was suicide?
You're such a sad little individual. |

This is probably a key reason as to why I am so pro-abortion, anti-adoption and anti-foster care |

and why I want to adopt a kid when I can. |
Being anti-adoption is why you want to adopt a kid when you can? Am I missing something here? |
