Individually the tracks are stellar, as a mix comp, this is sub par. like most recent sets of his, he jams tracks into each other and i didnt expect him to do this on I3. I think hes lost his mixing ability. that wmc set thats in the TL sub-forum is proof. when he mixed offenbach, its just attrocious. Also having vocal track after vocal track was a bit much. granted they are all catchy, but theres no journey whatsoever.

Finally got my copy and a chance to listen. I like it, not as much as #1 but a lot more than #2... it just feels much warmer and lusher than 2. Yeah, there are a bit too many vocals on it, and I think it kinda peters out at the end (instead of a massive epic finish like I expect out of Sasha, hell even his much-maligned Instant Live Avalon LA had that amazing Gus Gus track).
The 2 highlights for me are the Ananda Project (been a huge fan of Chris Brann ever since I heard "Where Do We Go" years ago) and the Zabiela tracks.
A few transitions are a bit more jarring than I'd expect from Sasha, but it's nothing dealbreaking.

if you are talking about the one where zabiela - healing comes in, that's one of the best transitions ever... listen again, closely.

Not that one (and I agree that's a fantastic transition), but there are a few others that were a bit more jarring. Like in Battleships when all of a sudden the thick, tinny hihats come in right away. There's nothing wrong with them, per-se, but other Sasha mixes have been such slow and subtle blends you aren't even aware that the songs are mixing...

Finally i listened to this album....Amazing! wow, sasha is an artist..the beat-less mix is pure art and the tracks on the fist CD are "trippy" but the same time emotional...A true Involver album:toocool:
If you don't like the album is because you don't get the purpose of involver series ...10/10 :D

I liked this album a lot more than the second Involver, but overall I'd still say that it is pleasant, but not outstanding.
I had a chance to listen to it on a full blown audiophile rig a few days ago:
(That's not the actual system, but it was the same equipment: Revel Salon speakers, Mark Levinson power amps, pre-amp and CD player)
Whoever commented on the production values before was spot-on. You hear some incredible details if you get to listen to it on a nice system or on nice headphones. Reading the liner notes too, you get the sense that Sasha and the crew agonized over these small details, and who knows, they might have lost sight of the big picture in doing that.
In making an album that is so tightly engineered and programmed, it almost seems like it loses that sense of fun or weirdness some previous Sasha albums or mix-comps had.
