Hotflush pioneered Future Garage, all this Indie-Bass-music-Pop being done right now as well as the whole Dubstep/Bass music/House/Techno crossover. Scuba started his Dubstep night at Berghain in 2008, back when most Techno heads probably hadn't even heard of Dubstep and in reverse.
I'd like you to name a label that you think was more influential. The only one that comes to my mind is Ostgut and their influence mostly stayed within traditionalist Techno and House while Hotflush pretty much influenced anything from Techno, House, Dubstep to Indie-Pop. |

It's the half-rhythm DnB style that Instra:mental pioneered. They had a regular podcast series running for quite a while. Their Fabriclive mix is also stellar. |

Pretty much what you hear in that podcast. Minimal drum 'n bass, but also with techno, ambient, electro and other eclectic influences. |

Edit: I like Levon Vincent's Novel Sound/Deconstruct as groundbreaking/trendsetting label for the time period of 08 to present.
I'm not saying Hotflush is a bad label just like I can't say Third Ear is a bad label. I dont really care for either of them though. Are you telling me Hotflush Records will be romaticized as trendsetting or groundbreaking in 10 years time? Or will they be in the bargain bin gathering dust?
Levon's entire career and what he's done with that label on the other hand, that's a story worth telling. |

You are crazy. Levon's labels are far too small/limited to be remembered by most in 10 years and they certainly have nowhere the reach to be considered influential, especially being vinyl only. Get out of your bubble Mark. |

Really, Mark? Here's reality for you - maybe 2-3% (and that's being generous I think) of the people listening music to electronic nowadays still buy vinyl. Your average underground record will sell less than 300 records. Vinyl is totally irrelevant for everyone except a few die-hard enthusiasts. You are living in the Discogs-bubble. |
