It's been a while since you heard from me and that's because I have been working hard the past few months trying to make some magic happen. I'm pleased to announce Sasha will be playing a special Thanksgiving eve gig at Slate on November 23rd.
By day "Slate" is a 3 room lounge/Pool hall....so why on earth is Sasha playing here? Well, we are going to be transforming this venue to create a Thanksgiving Eve party that we hope will blow you away and bring togetther old and new friends alike.
As before, this party is invite only so please go to the Mad Not Mad Facebook page to register for tickets. We make these parties invite only to ensure that good people and the real fans get to attend these events. It's not about looks or how much money you have - we only care that you're there for all the right reasons so that everyone has an amazing time. Anyone who was on the The Lady Windridge in July will attest to the fantastic crowd we had there. It was like old times and that's why we adopt this painstaiking process for these special events.
To keep the element of surprise around these parties I occasionally will send out invites to some of you in advance - so keep an eye on your inbox over the next few days.
Tickets are on sale at $25/35 and as as with all Mad Not Mad parties there will be no bottle service, no dress code, no door bullys(hit).

To be honest, Sasha's been getting all kinds of deep lately. Playing stuff on Hot Creations, Crosstown Rebels, Culprit, Visionquest. Stuff that Jamie Jones has been sweating...I think he wants to be one of the cool kids again.

Hmm, honestly that's a bit disappointing. Not that I don't like aforementioned music ('cause you know I do!), but I wish Sasha would become cool again by innovating with forward-thinking, melodic and futuristic music... not play the trend-du-jour.

Which is exactly why I'm not going to see him when he's playing here next week. And the new EP he made with James Teej :S I mean I like the M.A.N.D.Y. remix but still. Like if I wanted to hear that stuff I'd listen to Damien Lazarus, Jamie Jones etc...and I really don't.
