Seen him over 50 times and the last few years have been pretty poor. I went in with zero expectations yesterday and was blown away. Just proves that when he wants to be, he's still untouchable. |
Same boat. Amazing |

kick me, please.
for once, doing the responsible thing, save some dough and the like, and then miss this set.
doubt I want to listen to it for a while, would be too annoying

Sound Factory was huge because he hadn't played in NYC for a year due to Twilo getting shut down. It was an incredible night - I remember someone made him a "NY Loves PVD" shirt and he went and got it midway through the set and wore it. But I think musically, Arc is still tops - it was just a bunch of hardcore fans hanging around listening to a cd and then he walks in at 10 on the dot and just destroyed the place for 4 hours. His last Roxy gig is up there too. |
on point
and a rare appearance from Alex, what's good lol i thought most of the old bags were gone from the city... |

So great to see this feedback from this night. Everywhere I read mirrors this... I've seen no negative feedback which is something of an anomaly in today's world, especially concerning Paul as he's been a bit "off" in the past year or so. I've seen him perk up considerably in the recent months and this set on Sunday was a big stake in the ground moment for me as he's just out of his mind! |

I'll echo something I posted earlier and what some others my age posted.
I've been at this a long time and have hit parties all over the globe.
Sunday was way up there.
The energy was outstanding with zero attitude - The weather was perfect.
And Paul just brought something out from the past.
This is one that will sit with me for a long time and I hope he gets to see the feedback from everyone and plays this way every time he comes through NY as well as plays this way for others.
When he does it like he did on Sunday it is special.
We know you have to make tracks sound a certain way to make money and that is fine but when you settle in behind the rig you are not playing for the radio anymore. He understood that Sunday......
It was ing awesome!
Close to 40yrs old and if I know he will play that way every time I'll go till I am 70 and beyond....
My right calf is still barking at me from dancing - I love this ! |
