What I wanna know is, where the hell has this PVD been for the last few years? Is it because the crowd has changed and all they want is SHM and Guetta electro garbage? Did he get bored with what he was playing?
I hope Sunday was a "hello, I'm back" and not "I'm giving you guys one last night" |

I have thought about this myself. i hope it wasnt just one last night. i honestly think its crazy he can still play the old way. its been years since he has played most of those tracks. then all of a sudden paul says "i still know how to do it" |

I remember the few months leading up to his last Roxy gig. Politics of Dancing 2 just came out and people were kinda down on him a bit - He was getting soft, too poppy, lazy, whatever... and that night he came out and ripped the club to shreds. As nasty and as hard as I've ever heard him. It's like he knew. Wonder if he ever catches wind of what people are saying on the intranetz.
Like I said before, when he wants to be he's the man. No one comes close. |

Haha, that's why I said I was so thankful for last Sunday's set. He threw us a bone, but I hope he throws us more. Fingers crossed, next time I go see him play, I know it probably wouldn't be as good as this set, but I can only hope that it would come close..Sunday's set just threw me off guard, I didn't know the man could still play like that. Still can't shake that set out of my system, so wishing I could experience it again... |

I was having some fun with him on Facebook and then again on Twitter for s and giggles posting comments and old videos of hard sets - Plus he has gotten good from others here and on various other forums so perhaps he does read some of the that gets said about him being a shell...
Who knows....
My personal fav was when I said "Anything Nicky Romero would play don't play that!" |

He did the same in Miami, TPOD 2 wasnt out yet but the tour just started, he went massive on us that night. destroyed everyone. Huge review thread on TA with not one complaint |

| Glad to hear he's back! Reading all of this just kicking myself for not going :( Def agree that when he's on point - nobody touches him |

I'm just happy that even after almost having people convince me not to go I just was like "eh it he's still my favorite what's the worst it could be?"
It was like, on Sunday, at that moment, it was as if Avicii never existed. Life was good. |

such a great set from PVD as all of these rave reviews reflect! totally banging with an awesome mix of old classics and current stuff. awesome weather, friendly crowd, unreal lasers and visuals too. I enjoyed this set much more than any of the NYC sets since his last 6 hour Roseland set in Dec 2008. Great to hear a bunch of the new tracks that will likely be on TPOD3. These two at the end of the set are absolutely killer! The final track defintely blew the place up bigtime
also Human and Dae Yor were definite highlights :)

course we'll all now go, when he comes back, that'll be the touchstone.
We KNOW he's still able to pull it out good, so if he doesn't do that then, it'll have been on purpose.
I sure hope not! |
